A hybrid role, the candidate will be given dedicated headspace to grow our Roads business in a new sector as well as doing client facing, billable work.
We are looking for someone with experience in the following sectors;
Defence & security, aviation, rail, design & build, healthcare, education, science & technology, datacentres, ports, logistics and water.
The candidate will be based locally within our London (Westferry Circus), Basingstoke or Cambridge offices.
In this role your responsibilities will include:
- Being a champion of our health, safety, and well-being culture by leading by example.
- Spending time with clients and industry partners to build strong, trusting relationships and enhance WSP’s external market presence and profile with key clients and partners.
- Lead on business development activities to bring in new, sustainable opportunities for WSP.
- Develop a pipeline of opportunities within the dedicated sector.
- Coordinate with other business and sector/ client leaders to ensure alignment, share best practice and resources, and represent the Regional Business when pursuing multidisciplinary work.
- Deliver funding (sales) and revenue targets within the Region for the dedicated sector.
- Lead key accounts and client relationships as required for the sector.
- Participating in tender bids and business development opportunities as they arise.
- Agreeing fees and managing the commercial position on projects.
- Supporting and working with the Regional Director, Growth Director and wider Regional Leadership Team to deliver their goals for the region.
Contribute to Regional Business Unit initiatives, best practice, and value propositions.
- Provide visible growth leadership to the wider team, helping to upskill and develop capabilities in growth, bidding, client and account management.
- Co-ordinate with relevant leaders to ensure the effective deployment of competent and experienced resources to bids and the mobilisation of projects.
- Leading on projects to ensure technical quality and timely delivery.
