What you'll do

What you bring
- At least five years in political technology, campaigns, or media sales
- A record of writing proposals, sourcing prospects, pitching clients, and surpassing sales targets
- Experience with cold outreach, online demonstrations, in-person presentations, lead management, and RFP responses
- CRM capability, with Salesforce preferred, plus Google Apps and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Legal authorization to work in the United States and commitment to progressive values, confidentiality, and professional conduct

About the Position
This role is a part of the BD department at DSPolitical and will operate as an individual contributor, successfully hunt and secure new business opportunities, demonstrate a passion for our mission, and will have strong writing skills and financial acumen to develop, analyze, and improve performance. This position is intended to be highly collaborative with other members of Business Development, campaign departments, C-suite, and heads of other departments.
Essential Attributes and Experience
- 5+ years of experience in political technology and/or campaigns or media sales experience.
- Significant experience writing proposals, networking and sourcing new business, and pitching to current and potential clients.
- Proven success in reaching and exceeding sales goals.
- Client-focused attitude with a collaborative problem-solving approach.
- Successful track record of new client outreach through cold calls and emails.
- Experience performing online demos and in-person pitches.
- Comfort and experience sourcing and following up on leads, and completing responses to RFPs.
- Ability to manage and maintain pre-existing relationships with a network of progressive allied organizations and Democratic media consultants.
- Commitment to progressive values and adherence to a high standard of ethics, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Salesforce preferred familiarity with Google Apps and a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to drive new revenue by developing relationships outside of DSPolitical’s current client base and strengthening existing client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Authorized to work in the United States legally.

- Managing multiple projects on tight deadlines.
- Strong track record of creating and managing sales plans.
- Creative mind, the goal-oriented mindset with demonstrated results..
- Ability to thrive in an environment where structure and flexibility combine to meet clients’ needs.
- Proficiency with project management tools, such as Monday.com.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.

This position is based in Washington, DC and follows a hybrid work model, with 2–3 days per week in the office. Work hours are consistently 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday, with the expectation that evening and weekend work will be required as necessary.
