DGA’s five California locations function as a single, collaborative team, providing seamless
service, shared expertise, and a consistent commitment to excellence across all projects. The
Marketing Manager will work closely with senior management on developing marketing
strategies for pursuits in the San Diego and the greater Los Angeles regions. You will be the
main driver responsible for the development and production of proposals, qualifications
packages, and presentations for the San Diego and Orange County offices. As a member of the
firm-wide marketing team, you will help plan and produce high-quality marketing materials and
contribute to engaging social media posts and other communications, all of which enhance the
connectedness and unity of our firm across all locations.
The candidate we seek is able to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple pursuits. You
are a good people-person with great time management skills, and able to produce good looking
and good sounding content with little supervision.
As a marketing manager at DGA, you will:
- Manage the project pursuit process from inception through presentation.
- Ensure marketing content is well-written and graphically interesting using DGA’s
branded templates - Work closely with principals, office leaders, and staff to establish priorities and timelines
for developing responses to RFP/Qs and other marketing-related matters. - Develop and maintain marketing-related documents, including short form proposals and
additional services requests, presentations, resumes, project cut-sheets, and project
images - Research and disseminate business intelligence, market developments, trends, and
opportunities that align with DGA’s core markets. - Develop and maintain an office marketing budget with the office lead principal
- Update firm principals and leaders on marketing-related matters in weekly staff
meetings. - Work with marketing staff and project managers on project photo-shoots.
- Additional marketing-related responsibilities as needed.
- While this position focuses on in-house marketing collateral and pursuits, DGA will
support any desires for community connections provided the primary descriptions above
are maintained
You’ll bring to DGA:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications, English, Graphic Design or other
design-related disciplines. - A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience within the AEC industry or other
- professional services environment.
- Knowledge of the AEC industry in San Diego (Los Angeles region a plus)
- Familiarity with the preparation of proposals in a variety of sectors from private to Federal and higher education clients
- Strong writing and graphic skills are required.
- The ideal candidate will learn and absorb an understanding of the project scope, our required services and be able to draft letter proposals acknowledging same.
- Excellent spoken and written communication and time management skills.
- Experience with MS Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite software is required.
- Strong hands on knowledge of InDesign, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides
- Ability to work independently and remain flexible with your time and tasks.

DGA has returned to work in the office three days per week. Our San Diego office mandates
Tuesday and Thursday as in office days, the third day is your choice. This position will be
located in the San Diego office with occasional representation in the Orange County office.

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the annual pay salary range for this position is
between $110,000 to $150,000 commensurate with qualifications
