JOB PURPOSE

In this role, you’ll work with a talented team of digital designers in our growing offices in Zagreb or Split, shaping top-notch experiences for international clients.

As a UI / Visual Designer at Dept, you’ll shape industry leading digital experiences into their final form. You have a soft spot for branding. You love to create digital products that look and feel just right. And you enjoy working in a dynamic environment with what we think are the best people the industry has to offer.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translating strategy and UX into pixel-perfect interface designs;
• Work back-to-back with ux designers on the final product and delivery;
• Substantiating your design choices with annotations and animations;
• Presenting your work to clients and stakeholders and handle input and feedback;
• Taking responsibility for the highest quality of final delivery and proper implementation.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of experience in a same or similar role and an impressive portfolio showcasing sophisticated experience design and a deep understanding of digital platforms, ideally gained within a fast-paced agency environment.
• Experience with designing websites, apps and digital products.
• A strong portfolio (website or PDF) demonstrating your experience and passion for digital design.
• You enjoy working in cross-functional teams, speaking the "languages" of UX Designers, Copywriters, and Developers to bring together ideas to life.
• You are fluent in English and are able to effectively communicate complex design concepts to both executive-level clients and engineers.
• Mastery of Figma is a must; experience with motion design and prototyping tools like Framer or Jitter is a massive plus.
• You actively explore and implement AI-powered design tools and workflows, using them to accelerate ideation and prototyping, and raise the quality of design outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on craft and human-centred design.
