- Create branching email, push and in-app journeys shaped by product activity, billing status and account details
- Improve the data foundations for lifecycle work and coordinate with engineering on accurate warehouse, API and webhook flows

Who this fits
This suits a technically hands-on growth marketer comfortable with both consumer and business journeys, from self-serve to sales-led. You'll set direction and work with product, engineering, data and design. The role requires in-person work at the San Francisco office.
From the employer
SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today, SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary and expanding consciousness to the stars.
SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe. Our teams are building the full Super Intelligence stack: from our Colossus supercomputers, to Grok models, to our suite of applications, including Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X. We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next.
About the role
Lifecycle Growth's job is to get more people using Grok, Grok Bot, X, Cursor and the API every day, and to turn that use into revenue. We own everything after signup: getting people to value, converting them to paid, growing their teams and keeping them coming back. We do it with lifecycle marketing, in-product messaging and a steady stream of experiments, and much of the work runs on agents we build ourselves.
This isn't a traditional marketing role. You'll do the work of a product manager, a product marketer and a marketing engineer, often in the same day. You'll own lifecycle growth for one or more of our products. You'll figure out where the biggest opportunity is, design the program, build it and show whether it actually moved the number.
The job spans consumer and business, self-serve and sales-led, so you'll need to think as clearly about a solo user's first week as about a team's path to an enterprise deal. You'll go deep on the systems underneath, like who's eligible, what triggers a message, how events and attributes are modeled, and how data moves from the warehouse into our messaging tools. When the best fix lives in the product or the data, you'll make the case and either build it yourself or work with engineering to ship it.
This is an in-person role based in our San Francisco office.
What you’ll do
Strategy and roadmap: Own lifecycle end to end across our suite of products: Grok, Grok Bot, X, Cursor and the API, from activation and conversion to paid through team expansion, retention and winback.
Data and audiences: Use SQL and product data to size opportunities, build the audiences and triggers behind each program, and prove what actually drove revenue.
Journeys: Architect multi-step, cross-channel programs across email, push and in-app, with event-based triggers, branching and suppression logic, and personalization drawn from product usage, plan and billing state, and company and role enrichment.
Systems: Drive and continuously improve the data model lifecycle runs on, including identity, events, attributes and eligibility, and partner with engineering on the warehouse syncs, APIs and webhooks that keep it accurate in real time.
Measurement: Run every program as an experiment with a proper holdout, measure incremental lift, and make judgment calls when a result is inconclusive.
Portfolio: Manage lifecycle as a portfolio of programs, putting more behind what works and retiring what doesn't.
In-product: Own in-product messaging and experiments, from onboarding and upgrade prompts to post-purchase plan tours, and partner with product and engineering to improve our in-app comms systems.
Tooling: Use code and agents to build the internal tools, templates and automated QA the team runs on, so each new program ships faster than the last.

8+ years in Lifecycle, Growth PMM or Product Growth at a high-growth product company.
The range to think fluently about lifecycle for consumers and businesses, self-serve and sales-led, and to know how each one changes the right move.
Real technical depth. You write SQL, you know how events, identity and attributes fit together, and you're comfortable with APIs, webhooks and warehouse syncs. Coding is a plus.
Hands-on experience running complex programs in a major lifecycle platform, such as Braze, Customer.io or Iterable.
A history of building lifecycle systems with engineering, not just running campaigns on top of them.
Programs you can point to that moved revenue, paid users or retention, with holdouts to back it up.
Good experimentation judgment, focused on incrementality, cohort quality and lifetime value rather than opens and clicks.
Experience shipping in-product messaging or experiments alongside product and engineering.
The ability to set direction, bring product, engineering, data and design with you, and explain your thinking clearly to leadership.
A habit of using AI agents and code to get more done than a team your size should.
