From the employer

Category-defining tech. Career-defining work.

The next era of software won’t operate at human scale. Applications will create applications. Systems will coordinate with systems. Data and decisions will move faster than teams can react to them. The infrastructure powering that world cannot be fragile, reactive, or limited by the assumptions of the past.

Cockroach Labs exists to build what comes next — before the world requires it.

We created CockroachDB to survive failures, scale without compromise, and adapt to changing conditions automatically. Now we’re helping define a future where complexity fades into the background and infrastructure simply works, no matter the scale.

This is the kind of challenge that attracts people who want to shape industries, not just participate in them. The work is ambitious, the standards are high, and the impact is real.

The Role

At Cockroach Labs, we're building a modern, AI-first marketing organization. We're looking for a Marketing Operations Manager who is excited about combining operational excellence with emerging AI technologies to help scale our go-to-market engine.

This role is ideal for someone who loves building systems, optimizing processes, and finding new ways to automate repetitive work.

You'll work closely with stakeholders across Demand Generation, Field Marketing, RevOps, and GTM Engineering. You'll also join a best-in-class Marketing Operations team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, experimentation, and continuous improvement. We support each other, learn from one another, and constantly push ourselves to innovate and build for what's next.

You'll have access to tools such as Clay, Openprise, n8n, leading LLM platforms, Marketo, Salesforce and a GTM Engineering team to help bring new ideas to life. We believe the future of marketing operations is increasingly agentic, automated, and data-driven, and we're looking for someone who wants to help shape that future.

You Will

Campaign & Email Operations

  • Operationalize and optimize global campaigns across Marketo and Salesforce — managing segmentation, attribution, QA, and ongoing automation improvements.
  • Own email operations org-wide, including campaigns, nurtures, and lifecycle programs, with a focus on deliverability, personalization, and performance.

Field Marketing & Event Operations

  • Support execution of field programs, webinars, executive events, and roadshows.
  • Manage registration workflows, attendee tracking, post-event follow-up, and pipeline attribution.

Database & Systems

  • Serve as primary Marketo administrator; maintain database health through enrichment, deduplication, lead scoring, and routing.
  • Own the operational health of key marketing technology integrations, including PLG tracking.

AI & Automation

  • Build and optimize automation workflows using n8n, Openprise, Clay, and APIs to eliminate manual work and improve operational efficiency.
  • Translate emerging AI technologies into practical improvements across the marketing org.

You Have

  • 3+ years of marketing operations experience in a B2B enterprise go-to-market environment
  • Deep expertise in Marketo and Salesforce across campaign operations, lead management, and system integrations
  • Experience building high-performing email and cross-channel nurture programs, with strong command of deliverability, metrics, and optimization
  • A track record of designing and scaling AI-enabled workflows that improve how work gets done across teams or functions
  • A demonstrated ability to identify and integrate AI tools that reduce friction and shorten the time from insight to action
  • Experience embedding AI into repeatable processes to increase speed, consistency, and output quality at a system level
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • An entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with proactive communication habits
