We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Google Ads / Digital Marketing Specialist to help design, launch, and optimize paid Google advertising campaigns aimed at increasing applications to our master's degree programs in Civil & Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage targeted Google Search advertising campaigns to attract prospective master's students.
- Conduct keyword research and identify high-intent audiences interested in graduate engineering education.
- Write compelling ad copy and recommend improvements to landing pages to increase conversions.
- Monitor campaign performance, optimize spending, and improve conversion rates.
- Implement conversion tracking using Google Ads and Google Analytics (GA4).
- Provide regular performance reports focused on qualified leads, application starts, and completed applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; a combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
- Demonstrated experience managing successful Google Ads campaigns, preferably in higher education or graduate student recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of Google Ads, Google Analytics, keyword targeting, and conversion optimization.
- Ability to work independently, manage advertising budgets, and demonstrate measurable results.
- Google Ads certification preferred.

CMU will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity. Carnegie Mellon is not a qualifying employer for the STEM OPT benefit: only the 12-month OPT may be used to work at Carnegie Mellon.
