About the Role
This is a commercially pivotal role at a small but fast-moving life science company that has developed a proprietary drug-delivery technology for enhancing the solubility, bioavailability, and taste profile of plant-based active ingredients. You will be the primary bridge between the technical lab team and buyers at leading supplement brands and contract manufacturers, converting warm leads from a strong recent trade-show presence into lasting B2B partnerships.
What You'll Do
Own and drive the full sales cycle for ingredient customers across nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, food, and personal care segments.
Build and nurture relationships with key accounts including procurement and R&D contacts at supplement brands and toll manufacturers.
Translate complex technology and formulation science into compelling, consultative sales conversations.
Represent the company at industry trade shows and events, leveraging and expanding an existing network.
Collaborate closely with internal lab and product teams to align technical capabilities with customer needs.
Maintain accurate pipeline and account activity records in a CRM.
What We're Looking For
A degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline, such as food technology, nutritional science, pharmacy, biotechnology, chemistry, or life-science-focused business administration.
2 to 4 years of B2B sales, key account management, or business development experience within the ingredient, supplement, or pharmaceutical industry.
Proven ability to sell technical or science-backed products in a consultative manner.
A strong existing network across the nutraceutical or related ingredient markets, including familiarity with distributors, key events, and prospective customers.
Experience selling ingredients within nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, or biochemistry, with cyclodextrin formulation experience being a strong plus.
Fluency in English; German language skills are advantageous.
Willingness to travel for customer visits and industry events.
Comfortable operating in a startup or scale-up environment with a high degree of ownership.
CRM proficiency is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is EUR 60,000 to EUR 80,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
