From the employer

This role leads national physician and clinic engagement for the fertility pharmacy business, owns all non-payer sales and business development activity, and manages a team of account executives, physician support specialists, and front-line sales leaders driving growth across fertility clinics, MSOs, and provider networks. This role reports directly to the President of Fertility Pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead national physician/clinic engagement strategy — developing and executing outreach to fertility clinics, MSOs and provider groups to drive referral volume and retention.
  • Own all non-payer sales and business development activities for the fertility pharmacy business, including inside and outside sales, physician engagement, and new client/channel opportunities (payer sales sit outside this scope).
  • Manage and develop a multi-layered team: Sales leaders overseeing physician support specialists and field/outside account executives.

  • Promote and support adoption of patient communication and engagement tools with clinics, including Relay texting and the Connected PA Prior Authorization program.
  • Gather and relay clinic and provider needs back into the business to inform product and service roadmap decisions.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with leaders of large clinic organizations and multi-site clinic groups (MSOs), serving as the senior relationship owner for key legacy VFP accounts.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and pipeline management to achieve sales growth targets across an assigned book of clinics/territories, in a market environment shaped by clinic consolidation and MSO growth.
  • Ensure systems and processes are in place to meet the needs of internal stakeholders (product, operations, pharmacy) and external clinic/provider clients.
  • Contribute to establish strategic goals for the sales and business development function as part of the Fertility leadership team, partnering closely with Operations (Managing Director) and Product Strategy (Director) peers.
  • Exercise significant independent judgment in the field, often making decisions with limited information that carry long-term impact on clinic relationships and territory performance.
  • Support succession and bench strength within the physician engagement team, including mentoring senior managers who may be positioned for future director-level roles.

Team & Scope

  • Direct reports (per current org structure): Senior Manager(s), Physician Engagement (each with their own account executive team); Manager, Physician Support (overseeing physician support specialists); field/inside account executives.
  • Territory: National physician engagement oversight
  • Key cross-functional partners: Managing Director, Operations; Director, Product Strategy; Legal/Compliance (contracting, non-compete/non-solicit agreements); Marketing/Sales Enablement.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience (5+ years) in specialty pharmacy, healthcare services, or fertility/reproductive health sales and business development, with strong preference towards fertility industry experience, including people leadership of a multi-level sales team.
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining executive relationships with clinic groups, MSOs, or provider organizations in a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
  • Experience navigating complex, matrixed organizations, ideally through M&A integration (e.g., combining legacy sales models/territories post-acquisition).
  • Working knowledge of specialty pharmacy operations, prior authorization workflows, and payer/provider dynamics in the fertility space is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to support clinic relationships, industry conferences, and multi-site team management.
