What you'll do

Job Description
Provides proper and efficient communication for the surgical front desk areas. Coordinates all front desk functions. Provides assistance to the charge nurse, staff, and surgeons. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.Experience
- 1 year of experience in secretarial/receptionist in a hospital or doctor’s office
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of college
Education
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and successful completion of a course in medical terminology or equivalent experience
Certification Summary
- No professional certifications required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Accurate word processing at 65 words per minute
- Ability to communicate effectively with public, surgeons, and staff and manage the telephone in a diplomatic and tactful manner
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
