Who you are

You are an experienced technical sales professional with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to combine technical expertise with a deep understanding of customers and their processes.


You enjoy being close to the market, developing long-term customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and navigating complex industrial environments. You are comfortable working independently, influencing different stakeholders and taking ownership of your territory and commercial results.

About the job

We are looking for a senior Field Sales Engineers to strengthen our presence within the Energy Process market in Mexico.


In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for developing and growing Alfa Laval’s business across your assigned market, combining technical expertise, consultative selling and strategic account development.


You will work closely with customers to understand their processes and challenges, identify opportunities where Alfa Laval technologies can create value and develop commercially attractive solutions.


A key part of the challenge will be to expand our market presence and strengthen or re-establish long-term relationships with customers in Mexico.


Key responsibilities

  • Analyze market trends, customer needs and buying behavior to develop sales plans aligned with the Business Division strategy.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the market through regular customer visits, meetings and technical-commercial discussions.
  • Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline, generating leads and converting opportunities into profitable business.
  • Manage and further develop your assigned customer portfolio and territory.
  • Build strong relationships and networks across different levels within customer organizations.
  • Develop technically and commercially competitive proposals that clearly communicate the value of Alfa Laval solutions.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and proactively follow opportunities through the complete sales cycle.
  • Work closely with the Business Unit and internal technical resources to develop the right solution for customers.
  • Maintain accurate and qualitative information in CRM to support commercial planning and decision-making.
  • Progressively develop opportunities involving more complex process solutions, moving beyond individual equipment sales toward broader customer solutions.

What you know

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 10 years of commercial experience, ideally in technical or industrial B2B sales.
  • Strong experience with heat transfer technologies and/or fluid handling applications.
  • Proven experience managing medium to large commercial projects.
  • Industry exposure to sectors such as Oil & Gas, petrochemical, chemical and/or mining.
  • Strong ability to develop relationships, negotiate and manage complex customer environments.
  • Advanced English.
