Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • You'll own the annual event calendar, allocate budget, and set a pipeline goal for each event
  • You'll build pre- and post-event workflows for account targeting, meeting setting, lead capture, and follow-up
  • You'll select and manage logistics vendors and contractors while keeping event delivery on track
  • You'll run webinars from topic selection through follow-up conversion
  • You'll align with Product Marketing and RevOps on booth messaging, demos, speaking submissions, and attributable lead flow

What you bring

  • You bring four to seven years in event, field, or conference and association program management
  • You have managed fifteen or more events annually, or programs with comparable complexity
  • You have negotiated with vendors, managed budgets, enforced deadlines, and ended ineffective contracts
  • You connect event activity to pipeline and have built relationships that continue beyond a conference
  • You write invitations, briefs, and follow-ups for senior stakeholders

Who this fits

This role suits a resourceful, relationship-driven marketer who can manage many events while turning them into pipeline and lasting customer relationships. Experience in life sciences, pharma, biotech, or another regulated field is helpful but not required. You need to work in a hybrid San Francisco setup, with office days Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility Monday and Friday. Expect roughly twenty-five to forty percent travel, mainly around the conference calendar.

From the employer

Why Weave Exists

At Weave, our mission is to evolve how therapeutic knowledge is captured, transformed, and communicated throughout drug development. We do this by equipping human experts with AI instruments to enable drugs to be brought to patients as rapidly, safely, and inexpensively as possible.

The Weave Platform streamlines regulatory workflows from start to finish by intelligently, creatively, and effectively infusing every step with AI. Together with our customers, Weave is designing and building the AI workbench for the entire therapeutic lifecycle.

The Role & Your Mission

Weave is looking for a resourceful, relationship-driven Events & Field Marketing Manager to turn a busy event calendar into a system that generates demand, trust, and ongoing relationships with the regulatory leaders we sell to. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you'll own the calendar, the pipeline target attached to it, and a repeatable pre- and post-event motion that turns badge scans into meetings and meetings into pipeline. Logistics run through a vendor bench you will manage and shape.

What You'll Own

  • Own the annual marketing events calendar and budget allocation, deciding which events we attend, at what tier, and why.
  • Carry a pipeline target for every event. You'll define what a successful event looks like before it happens and report against it afterward.
  • Build and run a repeatable pre- and post-event motion: account targeting, meeting-setting with AEs, on-site capture, and follow-up that dovetails with the rest of our marketing campaigns and automations.
  • Build and manage our bench of logistics vendors and contractors.
  • Own the webinar program end to end, from topic selection through to follow-up conversion.
  • Partner with Product Marketing on booth narrative, demo strategy, and speaking submissions.
  • Partner with RevOps on clean data capture and lead flow so event-sourced pipeline is attributable.
  • Partner with the Head of Marketing to create a community program strategy for 2027, providing peer-to-peer learning opportunities for the users and buyers we serve.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4-7 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or conference and association program management.
  • Proven at volume. You've run 15+ events a year, or a program of comparable complexity. We're less interested in one flawless flagship than in evidence you can hold many moving pieces without dropping them.
  • Vendor and budget management experience. You've negotiated, you've held people to deadlines, you've ended contracts that weren’t working.
  • Commercial instinct. You think in pipeline, not attendance. If you've come from the association or conference-organizer side and haven't formally carried a pipeline number, tell us — we care that you want to and can think that way, not that it's already on your résumé.
  • Experience using events to nurture ongoing relationships. A user group, an advisory board, a recurring roundtable, a community that outlived the conference that started it.
  • Strong writing skills. You'll be drafting invitations, briefs, and follow-ups that go to senior stakeholders within and outside Weave.
  • Preferred, not required: experience marketing to or working within life sciences, pharma, biotech, or another regulated industry.
  • Willingness to travel roughly 25–40%, concentrated around the conference calendar.
