Role summary:
The Marketing Operations Sr. Manager, MarTech & Tools will lead the strategy, governance, and optimization of Walmart Connect's Marketing Technology ecosystem. This role is responsible for developing the MarTech roadmap, identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation, and ensuring marketing platforms enable scalable, efficient, and data-driven execution across the organization. As a strategic partner to Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data, IT, Security, and Procurement, this leader will evaluate technology investments, establish governance and prioritization frameworks, and drive adoption of capabilities that improve marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.
About the team:
The Marketing Operations team serves as the operational backbone for Walmart Marketing, enabling scalable and efficient execution across the organization. By designing governance, operating models, portfolio management, technology, automation, and AI frameworks, the team ensures consistent and effective workflows. They provide essential tools and capabilities that empower Marketing teams to deliver results with precision. Focused on process improvement, vendor management, and data-driven decision making, the team collaborates cross-functionally to optimize performance and drive organizational excellence in alignment with business priorities.
What you'll do:
  • Lead Marketing Technology strategy, governance, and roadmap development aligned to Walmart Connect’s business priorities and future growth.
  • Define and optimize the Marketing Technology ecosystem, including governance, prioritization, adoption, utilization, and ROI frameworks.
  • Lead Marketing’s AI enablement and automation strategy, identifying, piloting, and scaling solutions that improve productivity and ways of working.
  • Partner across Product, Engineering, Data, IT, Security, Procurement, and Marketing to align technology priorities, investments, and platform capabilities.
  • Drive platform optimization, adoption, change management, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend investments that strengthen Marketing capabilities, scalability, interoperability, automation, and operational efficiency.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in MarTech, Marketing Operations, or technology strategy; retail, eCommerce, media, or technology preferred.
  • Proven experience managing and optimizing marketing technology ecosystems.
  • Strong AI, automation, and emerging technology experience.
  • Experience with marketing analytics, large datasets, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms such as Adobe Campaign or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Experience with analytics platforms such as Google or Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience with project management platforms such as Airtable.

The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
