About you
• You enjoy solving business problems using data. You're naturally curious, comfortable working with ambiguity and able to take an open-ended question and determine the best analytical approach to answer it. Rather than simply producing reports, you enjoy understanding what is driving business performance and identifying opportunities to improve commercial outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial, analytical or business analysis within a large and complex organisation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including experience manipulating large datasets, developing analytical models and solving complex business problems.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous or incomplete information and produce practical, evidence-based recommendations.
• Experience translating complex analysis into clear insights that support business decision-making.
• Experience developing dashboards or visualisations to communicate performance insights.
• Exposure to SQL or similar analytical tools is desirable, but more importantly, a structured approach to working with data and a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to explain analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
