Job Description

As part of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you’ll discover meaningful work that makes a positive impact on a global scale. Join our colleagues in bringing our Mission to life every single day to enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. We provide our global teams with the resources needed to achieve individual career goals while helping to take science a step beyond by developing solutions for some of the world’s toughest challenges, like protecting the environment, making sure our food is safe or helping find cures for cancer.

DESCRIPTION:
Join our sales team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and contribute as a Business Development Manager within the Proteomics Science (PSX) division, newly integrated into Thermo Fisher following the acquisition of Olink Proteomics in July 2024. In this role, you will represent cutting‑edge proteomics technologies and serve as a key commercial interface for customers across pharma, biotech, and academia.

You will increase revenue and build lasting relationships with customers while representing our comprehensive portfolio of scientific products and services. Working in a supportive environment that values achievement and innovation, you'll help enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

This position requires a proactive, strategic sales professional who can independently design and execute territory plans, identify customer needs, and deliver high‑value consultative proposals that integrate both product and application knowledge. You will collaborate closely not only with domestic Field Application Scientists (FAS) but also with global headquarters teams to ensure customers receive the highest level of scientific and operational support.

In this role, you will develop and implement strategic sales plans, manage key account relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction through consultative selling. You'll work with cross-functional teams to provide tailored solutions that meet customer needs while achieving sales targets. Through a combination of customer visits and virtual engagement, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to help customers advance their scientific goals.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Master's degree plus 5 years of sales experience, preferably in laboratory, scientific, or healthcare industries

• Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or related scientific field

• Proven sales experience in the life science sector (pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, or academic research institutions)

• Demonstrated ability to propose advanced technologies by developing your own sales strategy and delivering application‑driven solutions to customers

• Experience collaborating with domestic FAS teams as well as communicating with global headquarters or international stakeholders

• Ability and motivation to independently and collaboratively design territory strategies rather than simply executing assigned tasks

• Technical knowledge and ability to understand customer applications and workflows

• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships at all levels

• Results-oriented with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50–75% within assigned territory

• Basic English communication skills required, including the ability to participate in training sessions and communicate with global staff through both spoken conversation and email correspondence , additional languages beneficial

• Commitment to Thermo Fisher's core values of Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement
