Our Pan African team drives marketing, strategic partnerships, and label services across the African continent.

As team we meet in the office Monday-Thursday. Fridays are usually spent working remotely.

What you will do:

  • Client & Label Management: Manage end-to-end relationships with distributed music clients, labels, and management teams across Africa (handling frontline releases and high-volume catalogues).
  • Campaign Execution: Design, logistically execute, and measure multi-channel release marketing campaigns from inception through post-release analysis.
  • Business Development & Content Acquisition: Pitch and onboard high-potential labels, independent artists, and catalog owners to The Orchard's distribution ecosystem.
  • Cross-Territory Alignment: Partner with regional team members, international marketing, finance, legal, and video services teams to deliver comprehensive support for client projects.
  • Brand & Strategic Partnerships: Identify and secure brand partnerships, event sponsorships, and co-marketing opportunities to amplify client visibility.
  • Product & Platform Adoption: Drive client adoption of internal tech suite and workstation analytics tools to empower partner growth.
  • Industry Representation: Serve as an active local representative for The Orchard at music industry events, showcases, and conferences across Africa.

Who You Are:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, product management, or account management within the African music industry (label, distribution, or DSP context).
  • DSP & Metadata Expertise: Deep operational understanding of digital supply chains, content management systems, digital metadata, and streaming algorithms across Afrobeats, Afro-R&B, Gospel, and emerging genres.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication in English, with strong skills in diplomatic stakeholder management and executive presentation.
  • Industry Network: Established network of relationships across Brands, media outlets, talent managers, and independent label executives in Africa.
  • Organizational Capability: Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize tight delivery deadlines, and remain structured in a fast-moving release ecosystem.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends for shows and industry functions) and travel regionally/internationally as required.
