What you'll do

What you bring
- At least five hundred hours using mechanics hand tools, with practical knowledge of how they function
- Strong studio-lighting and camera expertise, plus skill with Lightroom, Capture One, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop
- Experience in photography, videography, graphic design, visual marketing, mechanical work, or a related area
- Careful handling of large asset libraries, consistent file naming, and reliable archiving practices
- You can work independently and collaboratively while managing several projects in a fast-moving setting

- 500+ hours of hands-on experience using mechanics hand tools is required for this position. The ability to capture our product imagery effectively depends on your personal experience and understanding of how the tools are used. You must be able to identify what details users care about and know how to visually communicate a product’s function and features. You will not be successful in this role without these skills.
- As an Ecommerce Photographer and Videographer, you will work in Tekton’s in-house studio and visit off-site local shops to capture highly detailed, well-lit, and consistent product photos for use on Tekton.com, external websites, catalogs, trade shows, and internal spaces. Shooting and editing high-volume product photography is standard in this role. You must have deep technical photography and lighting experience with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to producing consistently high-quality work.
Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume product photography in Tekton's in-house studio for use across Tekton.com, internal applications, and print catalogs, maintaining consistency in lighting, angles, and style

• Identify and capture the key angles and details that best communicate each tool's function, texture, material, scale, shape, and intended use

• Capture standardized front, side, top, bottom, and perspective views of products

• Capture a variety of product materials and finishes such as high-gloss plastics, textured plastics, rubber, high-visibility fabric, foam, black steel, satin chrome, satin nickel, and mirror chrome finishes

• Establish local connections with our users in order to capture real examples of our tools ideal uses

• Create videos that demonstrate the functions and features of our products, highlight our processes, and showcase professionals who use Tekton in their work

Baseline qualifications

• Competent with studio lighting, camera equipment, Lightroom, Capture One, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop

• Highly organized with the ability to manage large volumes of assets and maintain consistent file naming and archiving standards

• Have a deep understanding and experience with hand tools in order to capture the key functions and moments of a specific tool

• A background in photography, videography, graphic design, visual marketing, mechanical work, or related fields

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced professional environment

Pay Range
- $55,000 - $70,000 per year

About the department
- The Tool Applications and Content department manages all messaging around the Tekton brand and communication about its products. In particular, this department works together to develop graphical presentations, take photography, write content, and coordinate new product launches. They also connect Tekton with hand tool users in the environments where they live, work, and play.
