About the role

We're hiring a Head of Sales to lead Tabby's commercial growth across the UAE and Kuwait. You will own the sales number end to end, winning new merchants and growing the ones we already work with, and lead the team that does it.

This is a hands-on role: you will set the direction, lead from the front with key merchants, and help shape how the commercial team works as we scale
  • Commercial strategy - set the sales plan for the UAE and Kuwait: where to focus, which opportunities to go after and how to grow share.
  • Revenue ownership - own the sales targets and the plan to hit them.
  • New business and account growth - lead both merchant acquisition and the growth of existing partners.
  • Key relationships - personally open and close important deals and build senior relationships with merchants and retailers.
  • Team leadership - lead, coach and grow the sales team, and help hire the people it needs as it scales.
  • Ways of working - put in place the processes and standards the team works to.
  • Kuwait - support the growth of our Kuwait business alongside the local team.
  • Cross-functional partnership - work closely with product, risk, marketing and operations to bring the best of Tabby to our merchants.

Must-haves
  • A proven sales leader who has owned a revenue target and still enjoys selling.
  • Experience leading and developing sales teams, across new business and account management.
  • Strong relationships with merchants and retailers across the GCC, with the UAE at the core.
  • Sound commercial judgement and the ability to make clear recommendations on hard calls.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving business where not everything is defined yet.

Nice-to-haves
  • Arabic, written and spoken.
  • Payments, fintech, marketplace or e-commerce background, or enterprise and SME sales leadership in a related industry.
  • Experience in Kuwait or other GCC markets.
  • Experience in a high-growth company.
