HPE Presales Consultant – Hybrid Cloud, Infrastructure & Data Protection

Job Summary

Tec D Distribution (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced and customer-focused HPE Presales Consultant to join the Modern Data Center (MDC) team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving technical presales engagement across the HPE portfolio, helping partners and customers modernize their infrastructure, accelerate hybrid cloud adoption, strengthen cyber resilience, and optimize IT operations.

The role will focus on HPE Compute, Storage, Hybrid Cloud, Data Protection, AI Infrastructure, and Aruba Networking solutions, including HPE GreenLake, Alletra, SimpliVity, OpsRamp, Morpheus, and Private Cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solution Consulting

• Engage partners and customers to identify business and technical requirements.
• Design HPE infrastructure and hybrid cloud solutions aligned to customer outcomes.
• Develop sizing recommendations, BOMs, solution architectures, and technical proposals.
• Support opportunity qualification and technical sales engagements.

Technical Workshops & Demonstrations

• Deliver customer presentations, workshops, and technical briefings.
• Conduct Proof of Concept (POC), technical validations, and solution demonstrations.
• Assist partners in evaluating HPE solutions for infrastructure modernization, private cloud, and AI initiatives.

Proposal & Tender Support

• Support RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and tender submissions.
• Develop compliance responses and solution recommendations.
• Provide technical consultation for enterprise, government, and commercial opportunities.

Partner Enablement

• Conduct partner technical training and enablement programs.
• Support certification readiness and competency development.
• Work closely with HPE and Tec D Distribution (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd business teams to drive partner growth.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Architecting, and as well as on Hybrid Cloud solutions.
• Experience with enterprise storage and backup solution will be advantageous to the role.
• Strong understanding of data center technologies.
• Experience designing compute, storage, virtualization, or cloud solutions.
• Familiarity with infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Ability to conduct customer presentations and technical workshops.
• Experience in a distributor, system integrator, or vendor environment is an advantage.
