STV is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our National Water Team. This position is designated as hybrid (3 days week/in office) and will be located in one of our following offices: Frisco, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Dallas, TX; or Charlotte, North Carolina. For the right candidate, other office locations may be considered.


STV has served the water sector for more than 40 years, partnering with utilities, agencies, and system owners to plan, design, and deliver reliable, resilient infrastructure. Our work spans drinking water, wastewater, and resource recovery, bringing technical depth and a One Water perspective to projects that support public health, environmental stewardship, and long-term community growth.


Your Role: Bringing the One Water Mission to Life
At STV, graphic design is more than making materials look polished. It is visual storytelling that makes complex ideas clear, strengthens our proposals and presentations, and brings pursuit strategies to life.


You will collaborate with marketing and technical professionals to create compelling proposals, qualifications packages, interview presentations, and other strategic pursuit materials that differentiate STV and help us win meaningful infrastructure projects nationwide.


The ideal candidate combines strong design capabilities with the organization, initiative, and collaborative mindset of a proposal professional. You can transform complex information into a persuasive visual story while helping teams coordinate content, manage deliverables, and move assignments from initial concept through final submission.


This hybrid position may be based in Frisco, Fort Worth, or Dallas, Texas, or Charlotte, North Carolina, with three days per week in the office. Other locations may be considered for the right candidate.


Responsibilities

  • Design visually compelling proposals, qualifications packages, interview presentations, and other pursuit-related materials
  • Translate strategy, technical content, and complex concepts into clear, engaging visual stories
  • Develop layouts that strengthen key messages, improve readability, and create a cohesive client experience
  • Create custom graphics, infographics, diagrams, organizational charts, and other visual elements
  • Prepare and refine presentations for client interviews, meetings, and other high-visibility opportunities
  • Support the proposal process by organizing content, coordinating components, tracking inputs, maintaining document consistency, and helping teams meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams from early concept development through final production and delivery
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting internal milestones and client deadlines
  • Ensure materials align with STV’s brand standards while identifying opportunities to elevate the design
  • Improve templates, workflows, and practical design solutions
  • Organize graphic assets and follow content-management best practices
  • Serve as a graphic design subject matter expert to pursuit teams regarding design best practices and Adobe Creative Suite software
  • Support occasional marketing initiatives and special projects beyond active pursuits

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry
  • Experience designing proposals, presentations, and other deadline-driven materials for competitive pursuits, client meetings, or tradeshows
  • A portfolio demonstrating creativity and strong capabilities in layout, typography, information design, presentations, and visual storytelling
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to organize complex information into materials that are clear, persuasive, and easy to navigate
  • Strong understanding of typography, composition, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to receive feedback and translate ideas into effective design solutions
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage concurrent deadlines and communicate workload and assignment status
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating responsively with proposal and project teams
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in graphic design, visual communications, fine art, or a related discipline
  • Ability to travel occasionally or work additional hours across time zones to support major deadlines, client presentations, or strategic pursuits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating proposals, presentations, or other deadline-driven deliverables
  • Familiarity with AEC terminology and alternative delivery pursuits, including construction management and design-build
  • Experience supporting clients or pursuits in the water market
  • Familiarity with digital asset management platforms such as OpenAsset
  • Experience with print production, color correction, and print-vendor coordination
  • Experience producing renderings or 3D visualizations using tools such as SketchUp
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and the confidence to identify needs, ask the right questions, and help move assignments forward
