JOB SUMMARY:

This position is a Graphic Designer (Research and Training Specialist) position in the Training and Professional Development (TPD) business process within the Office of Workforce Management (OWM). TPD supports agency-wide strategies to develop a productive workforce through training and communications. This position is the primary TPD graphic designer responsible for working with subject matter experts and OWM team members to develop and review art, graphics, and layout for agency-wide training and communication products. The position also assists with equipment support for agency trainings and meetings. Duties include:

  • Design art, graphics and layout for agency-wide trainings and communication products, consulting with content development teams and others throughout the development process.
  • Produce print-ready and/or online-ready graphic design deliverables.
  • Design and develop training and communication products using software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, or Articulate 360 (or similar eLearning tools).
  • Coordinate audiovisual technology services to record, edit, produce, and deliver ready-to-use photographs, video, and audio files.
  • Update SharePoint Online web pages and associated materials.
  • Assess requests for equipment support, maintain equipment reservation calendar, and deliver necessary equipment and services for meetings and trainings.
  • Prepare annual budget request for purchases, maintenance, and improvement of audiovisual equipment and software.
  • Maintain the TPD equipment inventory.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience developing graphic design products using Adobe Creative Cloud products including Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite tools including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in graphic design, digital arts/multimedia, web and interactive design, or related area can substitute for the required graphic design experience.

PREFERENCES:

  • Experience using online training authoring tools like Articulate 360.
  • Experience using web-conferencing services like GoToTraining.
  • Experience using audiovisual equipment in a professional environment.
  • Experience with web design/HTML.
  • Experience using SharePoint Online.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • This position is not eligible for telework.

SALARY: $49,000.08 - $52,000.08
