Our Imaging Solutions team is seeking an entrepreneurial Senior Communications Specialist to join the Marketing team driving innovation in the camera industry. Based at our San Diego headquarters, this role owns the consumer-facing PR strategy for our cameras, lenses, and more — spanning media relations, social media, and creator programs.

We're looking for a strong writer and creative thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances multiple priorities with ease, and brings a solutions-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset. Our ideal candidate has a genuine passion for technology and experience distilling technical features into stories for a variety of audiences. Our future Senior Communications Specialist is organized, thorough, thoughtful and great at taking initiative. They have experience working in complex organizations and understand the approach needed to collaborate cross functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute media relations and launch plans, tracking against KPIs and reporting to key stakeholders

  • Manage PR agencies to hit goals for product launches and evergreen PR activities, including reviewing media materials, collaborating on reports, and supporting media inquiries

  • Write and adapt press releases, FAQs, and media materials, coordinating reviews with global stakeholders

  • Build and maintain relationships with top-tier press and influencers across technology and lifestyle verticals

  • Manage media review and loan programs across Imaging products to secure positive editorial coverage

  • Partner cross-category, cross-department, and with Corporate Communications to ensure unified messaging and activities

  • Support Imaging events planning and execution, including on-site media and influencer management. Travel required.

  • Collaborate with influencer and Ambassador team for paid projects and content

  • Partner with product experts on influencer and media briefings for product education

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years of related public relations experience

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $84,014 to $112,017. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus plan, which is based on company performance and is not guaranteed, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
