Who this fits
This part-time role suits someone who can teach during morning or afternoon hours and cover digital, communication or current-affairs topics. Adult training may also be part of the work. Teaching or education qualifications, tertiary teaching or adult-training experience are preferred; skill with digital and AI teaching tools is desirable. The contract is renewable each semester.

[What you will be working on]
Responsibilities
The appointee will be required to teach in the day (morning and/or afternoon) in the following areas:
- Digital skills modules (digital collaboration, data storytelling, personal branding, building dashboards in Power BI) and/or
- Communication modules (oral presentation, teamwork and effective interpersonal communication, oral and written communication for work, report writing, proposal writing); and/or
- Modules related to current affairs and issues of enduring interest, for the application of skills such as information literacy, critical reasoning, argumentation and persuasion skills; understanding issues and perspectives, design thinking, analysis and presentation of an informed point of view orally and in writing
The appointee may be deployed to train in short courses for adults in the following areas:
- Digital skills such as Microsoft Word, digital communication and collaboration, AI for effective workplace communication
- Career development such as career planning, job search skills, networking and branding
- Communication skills such as intergenerational communication, negotiation skills, coaching and mentoring
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in English Language/Applied Linguistics/Mass Communication/Communication Studies/Arts and Social Sciences.
- Preference will be given to those with relevant qualifications in Teaching or Education, teaching experience at the tertiary level or adult training experience.
- Proficiency in the use of digital and AI tools for teaching would be desirable.
