Who this fits

This role suits a senior individual contributor who can own revenue while shaping a developing acquisition motion. You should be comfortable solving unclear customer problems, working across teams without direct authority, and operating with general direction. The position is remote across the United States, and you must already have work authorization where you live; visa sponsorship terms exclude US F1 and H-1B visas.

From the employer

Seeq is seeking a senior individual contributor to build and scale a new customer acquisition motion across North America. This is a full-cycle commercial sales role for someone who can independently create pipeline, solve complex and ambiguous customer problems, close new business, and improve the methods and processes used by the broader sales organization.

You will own complex opportunities from prospecting through contract execution and serve as a primary commercial contact for customers and internal partners. You will use sound judgment to determine account strategies, qualification approaches, value-selling methods, and commercial paths within Seeq’s operating and approval guidelines.

As an early member of this team, you will establish repeatable playbooks, messaging, and selling motions that can serve as precedents for future growth. You will influence and coordinate work across Sales, Marketing, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, and other partners without formal people-management responsibility. You will also guide and coach peers and cross-functional partners on effective commercial practices.

This is not a traditional BDR role. You own revenue and close business while helping define how Seeq reaches new customers at scale.

The role combines hands-on full-cycle selling with meaningful influence on the systems, methods, and commercial practices that support future growth. Successful Commercial Account Executives will strengthen Seeq’s prospecting, discovery, value-selling, technical-selling, negotiation, and closing capabilities while establishing repeatable approaches that improve the broader sales organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Independently build and own pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, targeted account research, and coordinated marketing campaigns.

· Own complex, multi-stakeholder opportunities from qualification through close, including consultative discovery, value development, demonstration coordination, commercial negotiation, and contract execution.

· Serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned prospects and customers, adapting communication and sales strategy to technical, operational, financial, and executive stakeholders.

· Diagnose ambiguous customer objectives, operational challenges, and analytics priorities; develop creative and effective recommendations that connect Seeq’s solutions to measurable business value.

· Determine and apply appropriate methods for account planning, qualification, opportunity progression, forecasting, negotiation, and closing within established company policies and approval guidelines.

· Deliver repeatable core Seeq demonstrations and coordinate Solution Consultants or Sales Engineers when deeper technical expertise is required.

· Lead cross-functional workstreams that improve the new customer acquisition motion, coordinating resources across Sales, Marketing, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, and related teams.

· Develop, test, and recommend improvements to playbooks, messaging, qualification criteria, sales stages, commercial processes, and selling motions.

· Guide and coach peers and cross-functional partners by sharing practical expertise, deal insight, customer learnings, and effective sales practices.

· Lead commercial strategy for proposals, pricing, negotiation, and contract execution, escalating decisions when required by approval guidelines.

· Identify opportunities for customers to expand into broader Seeq solutions over time and coordinate appropriate internal follow-through.

· Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting; surface risks early and make recommendations to improve conversion, win rate, sales-cycle efficiency, and customer outcomes.

· Capture customer, competitive, and market insights and translate them into actionable recommendations for sales leadership and partner teams.

· Represent Seeq professionally in customer meetings, industry interactions, and other external settings relevant to new customer acquisition.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

· 5+ years of B2B sales experience with demonstrated success generating pipeline and closing new business in software, SaaS, industrial technology, analytics, or a related environment.

· Demonstrated success independently managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting through close.

· Proven ability to prospect into new accounts and create opportunities through proactive outbound selling.

· Strong discovery, qualification, value-selling, negotiation, and closing skills.

· Ability to solve ambiguous customer and business problems and develop creative, effective recommendations.

· Ability to influence and coordinate work across teams without formal authority.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate business value to technical, operational, financial, and executive stakeholders.

· Demonstrated judgment in determining sales methods, account strategies, and opportunity priorities.

· Experience creating or improving sales processes, playbooks, messaging, or commercial motions.

· Self-motivated, curious, coachable, and highly organized; comfortable working with general direction in a fast-moving environment.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience selling into manufacturing, energy, chemicals, mining, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, utilities, or other industrial markets.

· Familiarity with industrial software, analytics, AI, data infrastructure, MES, historians, process optimization, or related technologies.

· Experience navigating technical sales cycles and working effectively with Solution Consultants or Sales Engineers.

· Experience in a high-growth SaaS company or helping launch a new product, market, segment, or sales motion.
