The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) is seeking a Marketing Coordinator, Events to assist in the delivery of marketing tasks for World of Coffee tradeshows and the World Coffee Championships in 2027. This is a dynamic role: we need someone who is organized, self-motivated, and not afraid to dive in!

This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing or communications career who is hungry to grow — someone who is exceptionally detail-oriented, agile, self-disciplined, and an excellent team member and collaborator.

What You’ll Do
Event Marketing Support (core of the role)

  • Execute a pre-planned social media plan; traffic and curate graphic assets and photography with the creative team, author captions, and deploy campaigns on schedule.
  • Build newsletters to a pre-planned schedule in collaboration with the events, sponsorship, and creative teams; curate photography, graphics, and copy to build visually stunning and informative newsletter campaigns.
  • Update imagery, graphics, and copy on event websites as needed.
  • Assist onsite event and competition teams; assist with onsite production, organize onsite photography, deploy social campaigns, and coordinate asset and collateral delivery with the event audio-visual teams.
  • Create post-event reports for both tradeshows and competitions and ensure event photography and videography collateral is delivered to sponsors as contracted.

Sponsorship Support

  • Work closely with the Sponsorship team to ensure contracted sponsorship benefits are fulfilled across web, social media, newsletters, and the event mobile app.
  • Coordinate with the sponsorship and events teams to receive, organize, and deliver sponsor-delivered assets as required and ensure contracted sponsorship benefits are programmed and deployed as required.

General Administration

  • Assist in reviewing and proofing all marketing collateral for events and competitions including event structures, signage, marketing materials, and more.
  • Ensure team folders and files are well organized and easy to navigate.
  • Assist in analytics and progress reporting to internal teams, escalating project snags and issues as required.



What We’re Looking For

Marketing Experience (Required)

  • Minimum three years of Marketing, Sponsorship, Communications or Administrative experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools including Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Buffer, Squarespace, Airtable, and others.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred but Not Essential

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Attributes

  • Strong self-discipline, motivation, organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple demands at once.
  • Comfortable receiving, applying, and providing creative feedback.
