About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

Overview of the Role:

Tableau, part of Salesforce, is the world's leading visual analytics platform — named a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Analytics & BI Platforms for 14 consecutive years. Data is only as powerful as the decisions it drives, and at Tableau, you'll help commercial organizations (1,000–4,500 employees) turn data into action. As a Tableau Specialist, you'll partner closely with our Commercial Account Executives, bringing deep platform expertise to accelerate deals and help customers see and understand their data in entirely new ways.
This is a high-impact specialist role for someone who thrives on solving business problems with data, partnering cross-functionally, and driving deals forward alongside a core sales team.

Location: Office-based, office-flexible, or remote, depending on team.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Commercial AEs as the Tableau subject-matter expert — helping qualify opportunities, shape deal strategy, and accelerate pipeline across the full Tableau platform.
  • Build trusted, executive-level relationships, positioning yourself as the go-to advisor for how Tableau's analytics platform drives customer business outcomes.
  • Co-develop and execute territory and account plans with your aligned AE(s), channel partners, and the broader Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with product support, customer success, and sales engineering to ensure customers see real value from Tableau — fast.
  • Drive platform expansion within existing accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities in partnership with the account team.

What You Bring

  • 5–10 years of full-cycle sales experience, including 3+ years in a field/quota-carrying or specialist sales role.
  • A track record of driving new logo acquisition and/or expanding existing accounts through upsell and cross-sell.
  • Executive presence — you're comfortable presenting to and influencing C-level decision makers.
  • A collaborative mindset — you're energized by working as part of a team (with AEs, SEs, and CS) rather than solo-carrying every deal.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling business intelligence, analytics, or data platforms.
  • Experience building and executing account/territory plans in a complex, matrixed environment.

Why Tableau / Salesforce

  • Sell a market-leading, AI-powered analytics platform trusted by the world's most data-driven companies.
  • Join a collaborative, well-resourced go-to-market org with strong AE, partner, and product support.
  • Grow your career inside Salesforce's broader ecosystem, with clear paths for advancement.
