Job Title: Brand Manager – Schiaparelli
Location: Bergdorf Goodman, New York, NY
Role Overview
The Schiaparelli Brand Manager serves as the primary leader and brand ambassador for Schiaparelli within Bergdorf Goodman. This role is responsible for building and developing a high-performing team, driving exceptional sales results, and ensuring the boutique consistently delivers a world-class client experience. The Brand Manager acts as the critical bridge between Bergdorf Goodman and Schiaparelli, balancing the strategic visions of both luxury entities to exceed revenue targets and elevate the brand's presence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Brand Ambassadorship
- Dual Brand Alignment: Champion the vision, heritage, and luxury culture of both Schiaparelli and Bergdorf Goodman, ensuring seamless alignment between both brands.
- Business Development: Partner with BG and Schiaparelli leadership to devise creative, strategic solutions to increase sales, drive brand availability, and maximize market share.
- Buy & Inventory Strategy: Participate in seasonal buy reviews and optimize purchase receipts and inventory reserves through deep analysis of existing and emerging client demand.
Team Development & People Management
- Leadership & Coaching: Direct, motivate, and develop boutique leadership and sales associates through clear goal setting, ongoing feedback, and targeted coaching.
- Talent Management: Oversee associate performance, career development, and succession planning. Celebrate high performance while proactively addressing behavioral or sales opportunities.
- Cross-Department Engagement: Partner with Bergdorf Goodman Out-of-Home Base (OHB) Emerging Sellers to expand Schiaparelli’s reach and seller base across the store.
Client Experience & Event Execution
- VIC Strategy & Retention: Design and implement comprehensive clienteling strategies, focusing on the growth of the Very Important Client (VIC) base and the development of an Emerging Client Program.
- Event Management: Lead the planning and execution of all client-facing events, activations, and luxury experiences in collaboration with BG and Schiaparelli stakeholders.
Operations, Visuals & Communication
- Visual Standards: Act as the primary visual liaison between Schiaparelli and BG to ensure the boutique adheres to elite brand visual guidelines.
- Training & Onboarding: Facilitate and manage all brand and product training programs for store associates.
- Business Reporting: Collate performance metrics and market feedback to create detailed executive summaries and business recaps for key internal and vendor stakeholders.
- Discretion: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding proprietary store and brand information across all communications.
Key Qualifications & Performance Indicators
- Education and Experience: 4–6 years of relevant experience, in luxury retail or fashion and a 4-year degree.
- Sales Targets: Achievement of Schiaparelli overall boutique sales goals and individual associate KPIs.
- Clienteling Growth: Expansion of VIC retention metrics and emerging seller revenue.
- Team Retention: Demonstrated success in developing talent and maintaining high engagement within the boutique team.
- Proven track record of achieving business goals
- A collaborative, “win together” mindset
- Basic proficiency with Google Suite, advanced proficiency preferred
- Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
SALARY AND OTHER BENEFITS:
The starting salary for this position is between $92,000 – $110,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include market, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Salary Range $85,808 - $107,260*
