Role brief

Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • Own a Midwest territory, combining outbound calls with in-person meetings to expand provider access
  • Run deals from prospecting through close, using supplied lead lists to reach healthcare providers
  • Spend two days weekly in the field after your initial ramp, managing relationships near your metro hub
  • Handle provider and practice-staff conversations, address objections, and maintain disciplined follow-through
  • Track customer relationships and opportunities in a CRM, preferably Salesforce

What you bring

  • At least three years carrying an outbound sales or business-development quota with strong results
  • Two or more years building a substantial share of pipeline independently through outbound work, including cold calls
  • A record of closing complex deals independently while persistently working through objections
  • Clear written and spoken communication for conversations with providers and practice staff
  • Current residence in the target Midwest market, plus dependable transportation

Who this fits

You’ll suit a senior sales professional who can cold call, manage the full sales cycle, and build durable provider relationships. After the first ninety days, the role combines three remote days with two field days each week and covers accounts within a two-and-a-half-hour drive of your metro hub. You must currently live in one of the designated Midwest markets, and relocation assistance is unavailable.

From the employer

We believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognize that mental health issues can be complex and multifaceted, and we are dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

We aim to create a world where mental health is no longer stigmatized or marginalized, but rather is embraced as an integral part of one's overall well-being.

We believe that by providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we can empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential. We are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues and we strive to be a force for positive change in the field of mental healthcare.

Rula is a remote-first company. We currently hire in most U.S. states, with the exception of Hawaii.

About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious, high-energy Sr. Healthcare Partnerships Associate who is ready to own a Midwest territory, blend digital prospecting with field sales, and directly expand access to patient care. In this high-velocity, full-cycle role, you will run the sales process end-to-end—using provided lead lists to hunt, consult, and close healthcare providers via aggressive outbound phone prospecting while enjoying a hybrid schedule with three remote days per week. Following your first 90 days, you will take full command of your market by spending two days a week in the field, leading all in-person meetings and relationship management for accounts within a 2.5-hour radius of your major metro hub. If you are a sales professional based in the Midwest with the grit to cold call and the charisma to build lasting relationships, this position offers full territory ownership, fast-paced growth, and high-impact autonomy.

This role includes a base salary plus uncapped variable pay. Your earnings are directly tied to performance, with unlimited upside and strong potential to exceed target earnings.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years carrying a quota in outbound sales / business development (healthcare preferred) with a track record of strong attainment

  • 2+ years of experience independently self-sourcing a meaningful portion of a sales pipeline through outbound channels, including cold calling.

  • Demonstrated success managing full-cycle deals independently, navigating complex objections with tenacity, and maintaining rigorous closing discipline.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging both providers and practice staff

  • Experience managing customer relationships and deals in a CRM (Salesforce preferred)

  • Must currently reside in the designated target market (Chicago, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, St. Louis, Kansas City, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis or Milwaukee) with reliable transportation. No relocation assistance provided.

Preferred Qualifications

While having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement.

  • A proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments, leveraging curiosity and experimentation to build new playbooks and process improvements.

  • Experience selling to a diverse range of personas within healthcare or health systems, spanning from individual contributors to executive decision-makers.

  • Experience operating within a startup environment and navigating the unique challenges of taking a business from 0 to 1

  • A history of upward professional progression or internal promotion(s) in previous sales or business development roles.

We're serious about your well-being! As part of our team, full-time employees receive:

  • 100% remote work environment: Working hours to support a healthy work-life balance, ensuring you can meet both professional and personal commitments (must be based in United States, currently not hiring in Hawaii)

  • Attractive pay and benefits: Full transparency of pay ranges regardless of where you live in the United States

  • Comprehensive health benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA/HSA

  • 401(k) plan access: Start saving for your future

  • Generous time-off policies: Including 2 company-wide shutdown weeks each year for self-care (for most employees)

  • Paid parental leave: Available for all parents, including birthing, non-birthing, adopting, and fostering

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Supporting your mental and physical health

  • Quarterly department stipend: Fun team-building activities or in-person gatherings

  • Community and employee resource groups: Participate in groups that celebrate employee identity and lived experiences, fostering a sense of community and belonging for all

  • Home office stipend: New hire home office stipend & $50 monthly stipend to help cover internet or cell phone expenses

  • Wellness at Rula program: Year-round wellness initiatives and a $50/month wellness stipend
