What you bring

- At least seven years selling for an industrial manufacturer while managing large or key accounts
- At least three years selling technology products in industrial settings
- You have grown C-suite relationships, led teams without direct authority and sold through direct and channel partners
- You bring advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, plus the ability to travel nationally and occasionally internationally

Primary Activities/Duties:
- Develop and implement key account plans representing Rittal’s overall product lines to potential and current customers based in the Automotive Industry.
- Manage sales resources dedicated to developing the business in the defined market.
- Manage either one or a group of key accounts by directing the activities for the specified accounts’ overall business relationship.
- Enhance our business and relations with customer by improving quality, delivery, and cost.
- Vertically penetrate all aspects of specified accounts including purchasing, engineering, marketing, sales, and senior management.
- Establish annual goals for each key account in targeted industry for development and improvement in quality, delivery, and cost.
- Understand accounts’ forecasting systems and requirements and the impact on capacity within Rittal
- Periodically review and monitor the supply chain to ensure expectations will be met and make improvements
- Management of the pricing structure for key accounts and alignment with Headquarter pricing strategies
- Aggressively penetrates accounts to fully understand all opportunities in targeted accounts.
- Develop strong understanding of the decision making process and key influencers. Leverage this information to maximize revenue share at the account.
- Liaison between the corporate office and sales force, regional, and international offices and customers regarding key account business and any issues that may arise
- Maintain customer relations at C-suite levels at major key accounts.
- Manage the procedures within the department to ensure compliance with ISO and company goals and objectives.
Mental Requirements:
Work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to assignment changes easily, ability to multi-task, learn office procedures and learn to use new software. Must be detail oriented; communicate effectively via oral and written and can work independently as well as in a team environment.
Direction & Decision Making:
Complete directives given either verbally or written, make and assist in determining logical decisions.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree. Majors in Business, Marketing, International Business, or Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of sales experience with an industrial manufacturer managing large/key accounts with a history of success, automotive industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in selling technology-based products within industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience to develop C-Suite relationships to maintain and grow business revenue.
- Demonstrated experience managing and organization selling both direct and through distributors, integrators, and OEM-original equipment manufacturers (line builders).
- Demonstrated experience building and leading an effective team of individuals who are not direct reports.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office programs including advanced knowledge and experience with Excel and Power Point.
- Experience utilizing Customer Relationship Management tools (SAP CRM) is preferred.
- Ability to travel, nationally and limited international.
