Role Overview
Riot Visual Designers seek to craft the best player experiences through their knowledge of graphic design, interactivity, layout, typography, color theory, and illustration. Designers collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams and act as both artistic and design problem solvers. They understand players and ask questions about the what, who and how when solving for visual communication design challenges.
As a Visual Designer for Wild Rift, you embody this approach as the execution core of the Publishing Art team. You deliver high-quality visual assets across all player touchpoints, partner with cross-functional teams to bring campaign visions to life, and ensure visual excellence in every deliverable. This role focuses on hands-on production and design implementation, serving as a key driver in translating high-level brand strategy into impactful visual campaigns to delight global players.
This role is based in Shanghai, China.
Core Responsibilities:
- Visual Execution & Production: Independently execute end-to-end advanced visual design production (Visual Identity/social assets/event materials) to deliver high-aesthetic global publishing content.
- Brand Consistency: Rigorously apply global brand guidelines to ensure every asset aligns with the Wild Rift visual identity across all marketing channels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work seamlessly with motion, illustration, and localization teams to unify visual messaging and ensure smooth, efficient creative workflows.
- Vendor & Asset Support: Assist in reviewing outsourced deliverables and provide precise, actionable visual feedback in line with Riot’s quality bar.
- Resource Stewardship: Manage and organize scalable visual asset libraries; contribute to the maintenance of standardized design production files.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ professional experience as a Visual Designer within games, entertainment, or high-end advertising industries.
- Mastery of core craft: Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in layout, typography, visual system construction, and commercial design.
- Advanced technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Figma, and 3D production tools (Cinema 4D or Blender). Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Miro is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of full creative production workflows, covering motion and VI asset development standards.
- Solid English reading/writing for design communications; functional spoken English. fluent Mandarin.
Desired Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in visual art pipeline (C4D/Blender, posing, lighting, compositing etc.) to streamline guidance for outsourcing.
- Multi-platform design experience covering mobile, social media, and web-based visual development.
- Experience in translating creative briefs into successful marketing campaigns with clear impact.
- Expertise in crafting high quality Key Art for marketing campaigns; strong understanding of motion design and storytelling to elevate digital publishing assets.
