From the employer

Senior Marketing Manager

About our Team

Clinical Solutions is a technology & information solutions business focused on helping doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals. Our product portfolio spans market-leading solutions in Clinical Reference, Advanced Clinical Decision Support, Nursing, Patient Engagement and Precision Medicine. Our products aim to optimize care delivery, patient experience, and financial outcomes.

About the Role

This role has strategic ownership of product marketing and market execution for Mytonomy, Patient Education and Care Planning within the North American healthcare provider nursing market. The Senior Marketing Manager will shape and deliver marketing strategy that builds brand awareness, generates demand, supports customer engagement and contributes to commercial outcomes. While accountable for these specific solutions, the role works closely with the Director of Marketing, Nursing, NOAM to align with the broader Nursing marketing strategy and support connections across other Nursing products and relevant enterprise offerings.

Operating as a senior individual contributor, the role is expected to anticipate needs, frame problems and opportunities before solutions are discussed, and bring clear, data-grounded recommendations. The Senior Marketing Manager will serve as a strategic thought partner to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, using customer, market, competitive and performance insight to influence priorities and decisions.

Responsibilities

· Owning and helping shape the NOAM (North America) product marketing strategy for Mytonomy, Patient Education and Care Planning, in alignment with the broader Nursing portfolio direction established by the Director of Marketing, Nursing, NOAM, connecting plans and investments explicitly to defined business and commercial outcomes.

· Partnering closely with the Director of Marketing, Nursing, NOAM to align product-level plans, priorities and execution with the broader NOAM Nursing marketing strategy, and to identify opportunities to connect Mytonomy, Patient Education and Care Planning with other Nursing products and relevant enterprise offerings.

· Leading and executing marketing programs for their products against defined targets, including new customer acquisition, lead generation, revenue and migration, while bringing forward recommendations and influencing priorities, not only timelines.

· Framing market problems and opportunities using customer insight, market conditions, competitive intelligence, sales feedback and performance data before recommending solutions or investment choices.

· Planning and executing integrated digital and in-person activities, including email, marketing automation, webinars, paid advertising, social media, content marketing and conferences, tailored to priority buyer and user personas and coordinated with broader Nursing marketing priorities where appropriate.

· Driving thought leadership and digital content strategies across SEO-optimized content, webinars, social media and content syndication, positioning the solutions in relation to nursing workflow, patient education and care planning needs.

· Partnering with the Director of Marketing, Nursing, NOAM to identify opportunities to connect Mytonomy, Patient Education and Care Planning with other Nursing products, the broader physician portfolio and relevant enterprise offerings, ensuring a coordinated and consistent approach to the healthcare provider market.

· Supporting relationships with key organizations, business partners and content development partners, building trust and identifying opportunities to strengthen market impact.

· Developing and executing event and trade show strategies for priority persona groups, showcasing Mytonomy, Patient Education and Care Planning.

· Developing digital and physical collateral, landing pages, campaign creative and sales enablement materials in partnership with the center of excellence.

· Developing targeted, value-based messaging grounded in a deep understanding of the clinical nursing environment, customer needs, buying processes and target personas.

· Managing the marketing budget and related priorities and investments, making clear recommendations and adjusting direction when evidence indicates a stronger path to results.

· Gathering market intelligence, client feedback and competitive insight to inform the positioning and prioritization of Mytonomy, Patient Education and Care Planning, and share relevant insights with the Director of Marketing, Nursing, NOAM to support broader portfolio planning and decision-making.

· Contributing customer and sales insight to the product requirements process and constructively challenge assumptions where market evidence indicates a different need or opportunity.

· Defining meaningful success measures before work begins, including engagement, pipeline contribution, conversion and other agreed business outcomes. Regularly assess whether programs are delivering the intended result and course-correct, change or recommend stopping activity where needed.

· Providing the Director of Marketing, Nursing, NOAM with clear and regular reporting on program performance, market response, customer and sales insight, business impact, risks, opportunities and recommended actions, enabling portfolio-level visibility, coordination and decision-making.

· Connecting insights and performance across initiatives, optimizing for portfolio and business impact rather than evaluating campaigns in isolation.

· Collaborating across Elsevier marketing groups and stakeholders to maintain brand standards and a consistent client experience, working with the Director of Marketing, Nursing, NOAM to support alignment across product, portfolio and enterprise marketing priorities and representing marketing as a strategic business partner rather than a service function.

· Enabling the sales force with clear segmentation, product messaging, competitive positioning, collateral and timely knowledge transfer specific to Mytonomy, Patient Education and Care Planning, while aligning with broader Nursing and enterprise-level narratives where relevant.

· Creating clarity across differing priorities, lead cross-functional conversations with confidence and align stakeholders around a shared direction.

Requirements

· Have 8+ years of integrated marketing experience, including direct marketing, thought leadership and content marketing, public relations and events. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. MBA highly valued; clinical credentials are a plus.

· Experience developing and maintaining marketing strategies that support organizational and commercial objectives.

· Have Healthcare provider or hospital marketing experience preferred, with a track record of measurable impact on awareness, lead generation, engagement and business outcomes.

· Experience leading major marketing campaigns, product launches and integrated programs across digital and in-person channels.

· Display understanding of customer and market dynamics, competitive context and requirements.

· Have an understanding of buying processes and buyer personas within healthcare providers, particularly in nursing workflow, patient education and care planning.

· Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and decisions without direct authority, including in ambiguous or fast-moving situations.

· Able to travel around 10% of the time.
