The Creative Director
will be responsible for managing the Creative Services Function within the Delivery Services Practice for Value and Evidence. They will partner with clients and cross-functional teams to shape compelling visual ideas and solutions that meet our clients’ needs.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the Life Science / Pharmaceutical industry.
Duties/Responsibilities
Supervisory
- Develops talent pipeline of existing and future staff
- Gives strong, clear direction and supervises direct functions/departments effectively, positively, and in line with our business objectives
- Manages Creative Services resource needs
Department Management
- Owns development and maintenance of Creative Services best practices, processes, and training materials to provide standardized guidance to all direct reports
- Assists with content development for business development activities
- Presents and sells standard and innovative ideas internally and to clients
- Collaborates with Industry Experts and Account, Content, and Editorial
team members as the job requires to develop communications and manage day-to-day activities
Creative Delivery
- Understanding of the design and layout development process for print and digital from concept through completion
- Maintains appropriate documentation tracking project development and changing specifications
- Conducts research to select and secure suitable illustrative material or conceives and assigns production of material and detail to artists and photographers
- Presents work, provides design rationale, and defends work in creative reviews or meetings
- Client facing - needs understood and the creative strategy is meeting and, ideally, exceeding their expectations
- Brand steward that understands the market, asks the right questions, and works with clients to solve strategic and creative issues
Requirements
Skill s and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or visual communications
- Minimum 7-10
years’ design experience in promotional or medical communication agency; Senior 10+ years - Proven ability to work cross functionally with creative and business leaders
- Rigorous attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding of in-house creative team and related dynamics
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite; primarily InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat
- Expert knowledge of style sheets, master pages, heavy typesetting
