What you bring

  • At least six years in product marketing or similar work within enterprise SaaS, including coaching or managing other marketers

Who this fits

This player-coach role suits a product marketer who wants to keep doing hands-on craft work while leading other marketers. It is based in Procore's Austin office and reports to the VP of Product Management for Financials. The role includes managing a small team and conducting performance reviews.

From the employer

We're looking for a Group Product Marketing Manager to manage a small team of product marketers while personally holding a package, its associated business metrics, and its named competitors. This is a player-coach seat and the craft work (50%) does not stop; your team's respect comes from the quality of your own work. At Procore, Product Marketing sits inside the product organization as a full peer to Product Management and Design, so you'll be the product leader's counterpart for your package while building the bench underneath you.

The construction vertical is ripe for technological innovation. Construction impacts the lives of nearly everyone in the world, and yet it's one of the least digitized industries. Procore is leading the market with our SaaS construction platform. We build for real people with real experiences, empowering Groundbreakers to develop and transform the communities we all live in.

This hybrid position reports into the VP, Product Management - Financials and will be based in our Austin, TX office. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Personally own a package, its associated business metrics, and its named competitors
  • Manage 2-5 product marketers to standard
  • Stay accountable for the metrics of the seats you manage, so no metrics in your package goes unowned or unexplained
  • Set the craft bar personally through your own work, and edit and upgrade your team's work until it clears that bar
  • Hold the floor behaviors for yourself and everyone you manage, including the customer call floor and the no-slop line on AI-produced work
  • Get every product marketer you manage onto real, repeatable AI workflows rather than demos
  • Recruit top talent efficiently and equitably
  • Evaluate honestly against the career map (including the hard conversations) at bi-annual performance reviews

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of product marketing or equivalent experience in enterprise SaaS, including experience managing or formally coaching other product marketers
  • A track record of owning a package or market metrics personally, not only through a team
  • Evidence-based evaluation habits, including promotions you advocated for and performance issues you handled expeditiously and fairly
  • Recognized craft strength in positioning and packaging, because at this level your own work is the example
  • Excellent listening and communication skills; product marketing is equally about inquiring as it is advocating

Additional Information

Base Pay Range:

160,000.00 - 220,000.00 USD Annual
