Penn Mutual is seeking a Director, Advanced Sales to join our team! In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing strategic sales, legal, and technical guidance to both field and home office personnel. You will deliver education and support across complex areas including business succession planning, executive benefit and nonqualified compensation strategies, estate and wealth transfer planning, taxation, and other advanced insurance concepts. By helping financial professionals design sophisticated solutions for clients, you will play a key role in driving life insurance and annuity sales growth while enhancing Penn Mutual's value proposition in the marketplace.

Responsibilities
- Provide sales, technical, and legal support to producers and field leaders regarding business planning, employee benefit plans, estate planning, and other advanced sales cases and concepts, including telephone consultation, case design and implementation, preparation of client proposals and presentations, document review, tax and legal research, and other appropriate support.
- Participate in the development and presentation of advanced sales seminars for producers, field leaders, independent broker-dealers, and other field personnel, and make presentations at agency & regional meetings, broker-dealer meetings, and home office seminars and conferences, including Premier Symposium, President’s Club, producer sales conferences, and field leadership meetings.
- Work with home office product, underwriting, marketing associates, field leaders, and producers to implement policies and procedures for advanced sales cases, and develop and distribute sales and marketing materials, training and reference materials, case studies, articles and other information and materials related to advanced sales concepts, planning strategies, and product applications.
- Develop continuing education courses and materials relating to advanced sales concepts, and assist with the development of training programs and materials for home office associates involved with the administration of advanced sales cases.
- Develop, implement, manage, and monitor relationships with outside vendors and third party administrators providing products or services related to advanced sales concepts.
- Assist with the organization, administration, and management of the Advanced Sales Department as requested.
Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of advanced sales concepts and product applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentations.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with producers, field leaders, and home office leaders and associates in all departments.
- Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, including the ability to make and implement plans, set priorities, perform multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of business planning, executive benefit plans, estate planning, retirement planning, federal taxation, and other advanced sales concepts and planning strategy
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in related field required
- JD Required
Experience
- 7-10 Years advanced sales experience in an insurance company, field office, or similar environment
Licenses
- CLU, ChFC, CPA, or other equivalent professional designation(s) preferred
Base Salary Range - $129,000 - $190,000
