Director, Payer Channel Sales – Language Services
Job Summary
The Director, Payer Sales is responsible for driving new business acquisition and revenue growth within the healthcare payer market for AMN Language Services solutions. This role develops and executes payer-specific sales strategies, builds executive-level relationships, and manages the full sales cycle with health plans, managed care organizations, and insurance carriers across the United States.
The Director serves as a consultative sales leader, identifying market opportunities, navigating complex payer procurement processes, and positioning language access solutions that improve member experience, regulatory compliance, health equity, and operational performance. This role is responsible for developing a pipeline of new payer clients, securing new business, and expanding AMN's presence within the healthcare payer segment.
This is a national sales role requiring experience selling directly to healthcare payers and engaging executive stakeholders within large payer organizations.

Job Responsibilities
New Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute a strategic go-to-market plan focused on healthcare payers, managed care organizations, and insurance companies
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within target payer accounts
- Generate new revenue through consultative sales and new logo acquisition
- Achieve or exceed bookings, revenue, and pipeline growth targets
Executive Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with executive stakeholders, including:
- Chief Operations Officers (COO)
- Chief Experience Officers (CXO)
- Chief Medical Officers (CMO)
- Provider Network Executives
- Member Services Leadership
- Health Equity and Population Health Leaders
- Navigate complex buying committees and multi-stakeholder sales processes
- Lead executive presentations, business reviews, and strategic discussions
Consultative Selling & Solution Development
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand member engagement, language access, compliance, and operational challenges
- Position AMN Language Services solutions to address payer-specific business objectives
- Develop and deliver proposals, presentations, and business cases
- Serve as a subject matter expert on language access solutions and industry trends
Pipeline & Territory Management
- Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities and provide accurate forecasting
- Use CRM tools to track activity, opportunity progression, and revenue projections
- Develop strategic account plans for target payer organizations
- Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution
Market Development
- Expand AMN's market share within the healthcare payer segment
- Stay informed on payer industry trends, language access regulations, compliance requirements, and competitive solutions
- Represent AMN at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings

Qualifications
Education & Years of Experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of relevant sales experience OR
- High School Diploma/GED and 10+ years of relevant sales experience

- 5+ years of experience selling healthcare technology, healthcare services, or healthcare solutions directly to healthcare payers
- Experience selling to national or regional health plans, insurance carriers, managed care organizations, or payer organizations

- Experience building executive-level relationships within payer organizations
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, cold outreach, and pipeline generation
Preferred Experience
- Experience selling language services, translation services, interpretation services, or healthcare engagement solutions
- Experience selling solutions related to member services, health equity, patient engagement, or regulatory compliance
- Existing relationships within national, regional, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, or managed care organizations
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
