From the employer

Our patented technology for secured credit provides an on-ramp for new customers to enter the credit system. Through PayJoy’s point-of-sale financing and card offerings, customers gain access to a modern quality of life. PayJoy’s credit also allows our customers to seize opportunities as micro-entrepreneurs, and acts as insurance for tough times. Through our cutting-edge machine learning, data science, and anti-fraud AI, we have served over 18 million customers as of 2025 while achieving solid profitability for sustainable growth. This role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing one of PayJoy Mexico's most important strategic accounts. This role is PayJoy's commercial face to the account: it combines strong analytical capability, end-to-end problem solving, excellent interpersonal skills, and high-level presentation abilities to position PayJoy as the indispensable strategic partner on the client's commercial agenda.

This is someone who can move with equal ease between a data analysis, an executive meeting, an operational problem-solving session, and a director-level presentation. The result is a deeper, more resilient, and more profitable relationship that drives sustainable growth in one of the company's most critical accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Own senior-level partner relationships by serving as PayJoy's primary commercial contact for key accounts, leading executive QBRs and maintaining a deep understanding of each partner's business priorities — so that PayJoy is seen as a strategic growth partner, not a vendor.

  • Develop and execute partner growth strategies by designing joint business plans with each retail and telecom account — mapping expansion levers, setting shared KPIs, and leading structured review cycles — in order to systematically move every partnership toward its full revenue potential.

  • Drive same-store origination growth by identifying and removing the operational, training, and product gaps that limit partner performance, coordinating cross-functional execution across Product, Marketing, and Operations — to ensure each active location consistently delivers at its highest potential.

  • Manage partnership performance through data and analytics by building and maintaining scorecards, origination trackers, and executive dashboards that surface the health of each account — so that leadership can make timely, informed decisions on where to invest and where to intervene.

  • Master executive communication and presentation by converting sophisticated datasets into persuasive, strategic narratives, representing the company with authority in high-stakes client sessions and internal leadership forums to drive alignment and impact.

  • Expand the commercial footprint within existing accounts by building the business case for new store formats, product lines, and geographic rollout within current partner networks, and leading internal alignment to execute — to maximize wallet share without relying on new partnership acquisition.

  • Protect PayJoy's competitive position in the channel by monitoring competitor activity at key accounts, anticipating risks to partner loyalty, and proactively designing retention strategies — to ensure PayJoy remains the preferred and most profitable partner in every account it operates.

Qualifications

  • Experience. 3–5 years in Key Account Management, Client Success, Customer Experience, Commercial Development, or strategic client-facing PMO, ideally managing large or strategic accounts, with a demonstrated track record of growth within established accounts and cross-functional work.

  • Education. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Industrial Engineering. Preference for graduates of ITAM, Ibero, Tec de Monterrey, or UNAM.

  • Relevant Industry Background (a plus). Prior experience in retail, fintech/lending, or tech/telecom — for example Coppel, Elektra, Liverpool, OXXO, Soriana (retail); Stori, Nu, Kueski, Aplazo, Konfio, Clip (fintech); or Telcel, AT&T, Samsung, Xiaomi, Amazon, Google, Apple, Uber, Rappi, Mercado Libre (tech/telecom).

  • Versatile profile. Able to alternate between analysis, operational execution, commercial relationship management, and executive presentation without losing depth in any of them. Comfortable both in the detail and in the strategic conversation.

  • Analytical capability. Fluent in building performance frameworks, financial models, and executive analytics. Uses data to form a point of view, not just to report status.

  • Problem solving. A natural orientation toward unblocking obstacles and finding practical solutions autonomously, even in ambiguous scenarios without a defined playbook.
