What you'll do

  • Contact people and organizations in new verticals to learn their needs and test whether demand exists
  • Identify channels for reaching each audience and use early findings to build a repeatable growth approach
  • Create promotions and incentive programs, then run them directly to see what drives uptake
  • Build go-to-market plans, generate leads, and manage the resulting pipeline
  • Develop strategic and content partnerships to support growth across the targeted verticals

What you bring

  • Three to six years in growth marketing, partnerships, or a related field, ideally including a market or vertical launch from scratch
  • Direct experience with either franchise businesses or faith communities through the relevant platforms, operations teams, campaigns, or partnerships
  • Hands-on experience with outreach, promotional programs, go-to-market execution, lead generation, and partnership development

Who this fits

It is a full-time hybrid position in Los Angeles, and applicants must already have U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is unavailable. After initial HR screening, candidates complete a brief take-home assignment.

From the employer

About NAVER U.Hub
NAVER U.Hub is the U.S. subsidiary of NAVER, a global internet technology company based in Los Angeles with offices in Seattle and Redwood City. Our teams across NAVER Search US, BAND, ThingsBook, and NAVER Ventures collaborate to advance AI, social media, and investment initiatives that build smarter and more connected experiences for global users.

About the Role
BAND, a leading group communication app, is expanding into new verticals—franchise operators, faith communities, adult sports leagues, nonprofits, and online communities—with more likely to follow. The Growth Marketing Specialist owns the on-the-ground work of building growth in these verticals from scratch: there's no existing playbook, so you'll create one as you go.

You'll reach out directly to potential users and organizations in new verticals to understand their needs, map the channels that reach them, and gather the intelligence needed to figure out what it takes to reach product-market fit in each space. From there, you'll design promotions and incentive programs, build go-to-market strategies, generate leads, and develop strategic and content partnerships to turn that understanding into real growth.
This is hands-on, execution-heavy work: you're expected to run the outreach yourself, test what works, and turn early signals into a repeatable approach—not just plan it and hand it off.

We're prioritizing candidates who've already worked with the audiences we're targeting — people who've sold or supported franchise businesses from inside a platform or a franchisor's own operations team, or who've marketed to churches through a faith-focused software company. General growth-marketing backgrounds are welcome, but direct exposure to these audiences will carry more weight than years of experience alone.

Key Responsibilities
Franchise vertical — one of the following:

  • Marketing, growth, or customer success experience at a software/platform company serving multi-unit franchise businesses (franchise management, local/multi-location marketing, scheduling, or field-ops platforms)
  • Business operations, location management, or regional/multi-unit manager experience inside a franchisor's corporate office, with regular contact with franchisees and regional managers
Faith vertical — one of the following:
  • Marketing or growth experience at a church management platform (ChMS) or faith-focused software company, running campaigns or outreach aimed at churches
  • Marketing or partnerships experience working directly with churches, denominational networks, or faith associations
Skills & Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of experience in growth marketing, partnerships, or a related field, ideally including 0→1 market or vertical launch experience
  • Comfortable operating without an established playbook—building the approach as you learn what works
  • Experience conducting direct outrach to potential users or organizations to uncover needs and validate demand
  • Experience designing or running promotional/incentive programs
  • Experience building go-to-market strategies and executing them hands-on
  • Experience with lead generation and pipeline management
  • Experience building strategic or content partnerships
  • Strong communicator who can build trust quickly across very different audiences (franchise operators, faith leaders, nonprofit leaders, community organizers)
  • High ownership mindset—comfortable moving from ambiguity to execution independently
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and critical thinker with strong intellectual curiosity—digs past the obvious to find what's actually going on
  • Hard-working, honest, self-starter with genuine passion for the mission
  • Collaborative team player
Other
  • Job type: Full-time
  • Hybrid (Los Angeles, CA)
  • Pay: $64,000 - $80,000 per year
  • Candidates who pass the initial HR screening will be invited to complete a brief take-home assignment.
  • Please note: To be eligible, applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship for employment visa status is unavailable.
