We are seeking someone to join our Investment Management Finance team as a Director on the Sales Incentive Compensation and Distribution Analytics team in New York. This role supports distribution economics, sales compensation, business planning, forecasting and management reporting across Investment Management. The position partners closely with Sales, Finance, HR, Operations and senior management to deliver analytical report driven insights, enhance forecasting capabilities, support strategic growth initiatives, and strengthen visibility into revenue, compensation and distribution-related expenses.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services for the Firm's financial and capital resources.

What you'll do in the role:
> Develop scenario analysis to support sales incentive compensation plan design, annual updates, and key business decisions.
> Own the administration of sales incentive compensation plans and payroll, maintaining plan rules and reporting logic in SAP Incentive Compensation Management.
> Manage sales compensation programs and reporting partnering with Sales, HR and Finance to ensure monthly compensation is calculated accurately and delivered timely.
> Develop and maintain forecasting models for sales, revenue, compensation and distribution-related expenses, supporting monthly, quarterly and annual planning.
> Build analytical frameworks that enhance visibility into channel, intermediary, product and distribution profitability trends.
> Build distribution reporting to improve visibility into sales, compensation and intermediary economics, and deliver management reporting, forecasting and analytics.
> Support fee sharing, intermediary economics, and other distribution-related analyses to inform business decisions.
> Support forecasting and analysis of fee-sharing arrangements, partnership expenses, platform costs and other distribution-related investments.
> Partner with Sales, HR, Finance, Operations and Compensation Controllers on business initiatives, and serve as a point of contact for compensation-related queries and escalations.
> Partner with Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to enhance reporting infrastructure, automate key processes, and improve data quality, transparency, and control effectiveness.
> Build and apply skills across the Firm's technology and AI toolset to work more efficiently and responsibly within Investment Management Finance.
> Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards.
What you'll bring to the role:
>Proven experience (5+ years) in a comparable analytical financial planning and analysis role, ideally within asset management.
>Build analytical frameworks that enhance visibility into channel, intermediary, product and distribution profitability trends.
>Ability to translate business plans into calculated outputs in excel and systems.
>Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
>Prepare management reporting and variance analysis that identifies key drivers of performance revenue, compensation, distribution economics and operating expenses.
>Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, business partners, and clients of all levels.
>Sound judgment and discretion in handling highly confidential and time-sensitive matters.
>Advanced proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint, with experience developing forecasting models, management reporting and analytical dashboards.
>Ability to work both independently and as part of a lean team.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
