A Day in Your Life at MKS:

The Director, Website & eCommerce will lead the global MKS website and eCommerce function, with responsibility for advancing the company’s website digital customer experience, web strategy, eCommerce performance, and ongoing website transformation. This leader will manage the platforms, processes, priorities, and cross-functional partnerships needed to deliver a customer-centered One MKS digital presence that supports brand activation, product discovery, lead generation, and online revenue growth.

You Will Make an Impact by:

  • Lead the strategy, roadmap, governance, and continuous improvement of MKS customer-facing websites and eCommerce experiences across the global web ecosystem.
  • Drive execution of the One MKS website transformation, improved navigation, application-led content architecture, product pathways, and enhanced findability.
  • Oversee eCommerce capabilities that support B2B customer purchasing, including order placement, order status, shipment tracking, invoice access, and self-service functionality.
  • Manage website and eCommerce project priorities, backlog, resources, dependencies, timelines, and stakeholder expectations to ensure timely delivery of business-critical initiatives.
  • Partner with Marketing Communications, divisional marketing, product management, sales, IT, customer service, external agencies, and regional teams to align web and eCommerce activity with business priorities.
  • Lead resolution of AEO, SEO, site performance, content, analytics, platform, and customer-experience issues, ensuring the site is technically sound and optimized for organic visibility and engagement.
  • Provide leadership for web development resources, including internal team members, contractors, agency partners, and future development staff supporting front-end and back-end execution.
  • Establish clear web governance processes, standards, workflows, performance measures, documentation, and operating rhythms to improve transparency and execution velocity.
  • Support Strategic Plan and Annual Budget planning by identifying web/eCommerce investment needs, business justification, risks, resourcing requirements, and expected impact.
  • Use data, analytics, voice of customer input, and internal stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities to improve digital engagement, conversion, usability, revenue, and customer satisfaction.

  • Serve as the accountable business owner for the website and eCommerce roadmap, balancing long-term transformation with near-term operational needs.
  • Bring disciplined project management, strong cross-functional follow-through, and proactive risk escalation to a complex global digital environment.
  • Communicate clearly with executive stakeholders, business partners, and technical teams, translating business requirements into achievable digital solutions.
  • Develop and coach team members while strengthening accountability, collaboration, documentation, and best-practice sharing across the web/eCommerce function.
  • Champion a customer-first mindset and ensure digital experiences reflect the MKS brand, business strategy, and expectations of technical B2B audiences.

Skills You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital marketing, business, communications, information systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience leading website, eCommerce, digital marketing, or digital customer experience functions, preferably in a global B2B or technical environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex website ecosystems, eCommerce platforms, web development projects, UX/UI initiatives, AEO and SEO programs, and analytics-driven optimization.
  • Strong understanding of B2B eCommerce, digital customer journeys, content strategy, search optimization, marketing technology, CRM integration, and web performance measurement.
  • Understanding of AI tools and process for both internal efficiency and external customer engagement.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs involving marketing, IT, product management, sales, customer service, external agencies, and global stakeholders.
  • Experience leading teams, managing vendors, setting priorities, and converting business requirements into deliverable roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, executive presence, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with headless or composable commerce architecture, server-side rendering, AEO and SEO remediation, and large-scale website redesign or consolidation programs.
  • Familiarity with SAP-connected B2B commerce environments, purchasing and order management workflows, and self-service customer portals.
  • Experience supporting global brand initiatives across digital properties.
  • Knowledge of industrial technology, semiconductor, photonics, advanced electronics, or manufacturing markets.
  • Experience building or scaling distributed web development teams and working with remote resources.

Success Measures:

  • Delivery of priority website transformation milestones on time and with clear stakeholder alignment.
  • Improved website performance, AEO and SEO visibility, product findability, customer engagement, and digital conversion metrics.
  • Increased velocity in resolving web/eCommerce backlog items and launching requested customer-facing features.
  • Stronger governance, documentation, ownership, and transparency across web/eCommerce priorities.
  • Improved internal stakeholder satisfaction and a more cohesive One MKS website digital customer experience.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Pay Range: $168,300.00 - 280,500.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
