Job Summary:
We’re looking for a skilled Video Editor to bring the client’s stories to life through compelling social content. You’ll own end-to-end post-production, from raw footage to final delivery, with strong editing, motion graphics and visual storytelling skills.
Role:
- Video Production Ownership: Own the entire process and production of video content, from receiving scripts and reviewing raw footage to final editing, colour grading, and exporting for publishing. It is essential that, for coverage reasons, the video editor must be able to shoot and possess strong, technically sound filming capabilities, primarily in social video content creation.
- Editing & Post-Production: Oversee the quality and progress of all video editing, ensuring that content is engaging, properly paced, and visually polished for maximum impact on social media, incorporating graphic elements and visual assets where appropriate.
- Motion & Effects: Create dynamic and compelling visual effects, transitions, and animations, leveraging expertise in Adobe After Effects to enhance video features and formats, including title cards, lower thirds, and animated graphics.
- Optimisation & Specifications: Monitor the quality of audio and video engineering and ensure all outgoing video content is accurately specced and optimised for the various social platforms it is published on.
- Creative Input: Review scripts and briefs, providing creative input and translating concepts into a full-fledged video timeline or storyboard, ensuring alignment with the initial vision.
- Brand Guardianship: Ensure the client’s brand guidelines and tone of voice are followed closely and remain consistent across all video content.
- Trend & Innovation: Stay on top of global and local editing and visual trends, proactively sharing these insights to help the team experiment and develop new innovative ways of telling the client’s brand story.
You:
- 3+ years of professional experience creating high-quality video content for top brands, preferably with a mix of in-house and agency production experience.
- Expert proficiency in using specific editing software packages, including Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Proven ability to create engaging, conversational, and culturally resonant editorial narratives through the medium of video.
- Strong understanding of motion graphics principles, sound design, and basic colour grading/treatment, with a good eye for graphic design, typography, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy, and the ability to create or adapt graphic assets for video and social content.
- Highly motivated, energetic, and a self-starter with a track record of strong performance and commitment to problem-solving under tight deadlines.
- Experience in collaborating with creative teams, production partners, and clients to improve workflow and post-production efficiencies.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communications and presentation skills.
