The opportunity
As a Senior Legal Implementation Specialist, you take our most complex customers through to confident, independent use of the Luminance platform - and you raise the standard of how the whole team delivers.
You own the accounts that carry the most commercial weight, the widest scope or the most demanding stakeholders, and you make the judgement calls on them yourself. You also shape how the function works: setting delivery patterns rather than only applying them, coaching colleagues, and acting as a credible voice back into Product.
What you'll do
- Lead implementations for complex, strategically significant or high-value customers - multi-jurisdiction rollouts, bespoke requirements, senior stakeholder scrutiny
- Own discovery where scope is broad or contested, converting competing objectives into a sequenced, deliverable plan
- Design configurations that hold up at scale, making trade-offs deliberately and explaining them credibly
- Manage a portfolio of concurrent implementations against agreed timelines, milestones and outcomes
- Act as the point of escalation on delivery risk, arriving with a recommendation rather than only a flag
- Lead the difficult conversations: resetting expectations, reframing requests that add unnecessary complexity, recovering implementations that have gone off track
- Coach colleagues and review their work against implementation standards, holding the quality bar where it slips
- Define and improve the playbooks, configuration standards and training assets the team relies on
- Feed structured, evidenced insight into Product, separating one-off requests from recurring customer needs
What success looks like
- Complex implementations land against agreed milestones, with risk resolved early rather than escalated late
- Customers reach meaningful value quickly, use the platform independently, and are willing to say so
- Configuration decisions still hold twelve months on, without avoidable rework
- The patterns you define are adopted as standard across the team, not used only by you
- The colleagues you coach measurably improve
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 4-5 years of client-facing experience in legal tech or B2B SaaS - implementation, onboarding, professional services, delivery or customer success - and/or significant relevant legal experience
- A track record of owning complex or high-value implementations end to end
- Fluency with contracts, negotiation positions, approval processes and commercial workflows, and the confidence to interrogate a customer's process rather than record it
- Proven judgement: distinguishing a genuine requirement from a product limitation, and both from an opportunity to recommend a better approach - and holding that position with a senior stakeholder
- Credibility with executive audiences, including General Counsel, Heads of Legal Operations and procurement leadership
- Strong prioritisation across a demanding portfolio, with accuracy maintained under pressure
- The ability to coach others and give direct, constructive feedback
- Comfort setting direction in ambiguity, for yourself and for others
- Experience crafting effective prompts for AI systems, and the ability to teach it
Desirable
- Qualified lawyer, or in-house legal or legal operations experience
- Experience implementing enterprise software within legal, procurement, compliance or commercial teams
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management, legal operations or legal technology
- Experience of multi-region or phased enterprise rollouts, or of mentoring others
