Senior Developer Marketer
Senior General Marketing role at lottiefiles. full-time.
Growth Roles summary, based on the employer's posting.
What you'll do
- You'll shape positioning, docs, quickstarts, and samples for AI and agent-focused developer products
- You'll make the first-use journey clear enough for developers to reach working code independently
- You'll grow open-source visibility through READMEs, examples, launch content, and developer listings
- You'll publish across documentation, package pages, registries, GitHub, and technical communities
- You'll work with engineering on developer experience, activation measurement, and internal tool adoption
What you bring
- You bring at least five years in developer marketing, developer experience, or product marketing for developer products, plus shipped work to show
- You can write enough code to create samples, review pull requests, and repair broken quickstarts
- You produce strong English docs, READMEs, launch writing, and technical community content
- You have launched or expanded an open-source project or developer platform and can collaborate with engineers as a peer
Who this fits
This suits a senior individual contributor focused on developers building with LottieFiles, rather than brand campaigns, paid acquisition, events, or large-team management. The role is remote-friendly, with preferred working-hour overlap across Asia and Europe. Experience with design systems, motion, web graphics, AI developer tools, agent ecosystems, or MCP could strengthen your fit.
From the employer
Role Summary
We’re hiring a senior Developer Marketer to own how developers discover, try, and ship with LottieFiles’ developer products. This is an IC seat, not a brand or campaign role. You’ll write the docs, ship the samples, grow our open-source and developer presence, and make sure a developer can go from “I need motion in my app” to working code without talking to us.
You’ll sit within Growth/Marketing, but act as the day-to-day bridge to Engineering for the developer products we build. You’ll help shape strategy, positioning, and messaging, then turn that into shipped outputs.
You’ll own the developer story for the surfaces we’re building next: AI-assisted motion for builders, agent workflows (including MCP-style tooling), APIs/SDKs, and open-source — not just the classic players and docs.
Your day-to-day
- Own positioning, docs, quickstarts, and samples across our developer stack — including AI generation surfaces and agent integrations
- Ship and maintain the first-run path so a developer reaches a clear “first success” without help
- Grow our open-source and developer presence — READMEs, examples, launch posts, and listings on GitHub, package registries, and relevant developer directories
- Publish where developers and agent builders already are: documentation, package pages, registries, MCP registries, GitHub, and technical communities
- Partner with engineering on APIs, docs accuracy, and developer experience; file bugs and fix the docs yourself when something’s wrong
- Instrument and report on developer activation (docs usage, first success, OSS adoption) against company goals
- Champion internal adoption: LottieFiles engineers shipping with our own developer tools
What we are looking for
- 5+ years in developer marketing, developer experience, or product marketing for a developer tool, API, SDK, or open-source project — and a portfolio of what you shipped
- You can write code well enough to build samples, read a PR, and fix a broken quickstart without waiting on engineering
- Strong written English: docs, READMEs, launch posts, and technical community writing
- Experience launching or growing an open-source project or developer platform (GitHub, npm, docs sites, community)
- Comfortable working with engineers as a peer; you can push back on DX without a manager in the middle
- Remote-friendly; preferred overlapping Asia / Europe hours
Bonus points if you..
- Have worked in design systems, motion/animation, web graphics, or AI-assisted developer tooling
- Experience with AI developer tools, agent ecosystems, or Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Have shipped developer launches that held up on HN, Reddit, or similar developer channels
- Enjoy measuring activation, not vanity traffic
What this role is not
- Brand campaigns, paid acquisition, or conference evangelism as the core of the job
- Designer-led or enterprise sales motions — this role is for developers building with LottieFiles
- Managing a large team — this is a senior IC role

- Fully remote working environment
- Flexible work hours
- A welcome gift and LottieFiles swag pack
- Bonus to set up your workstation at home
- Unlimited leave days
- Medical insurance
- Generous learning budget
- Gym membership
