What you bring
- A technical bachelor’s degree in electronics, computer science, IT, or communications engineering
- At least ten years in the industry, including six or more years in customer service or technical support for communications technology
- Hands-on knowledge of Windows, Linux or Unix, databases, Kubernetes, DevOps tooling, containers, Terraform, scripting, and public clouds
- Experience with software-and-hardware solutions, networking, operating systems, and applications
- Strong root-cause analysis, customer communication, scheduling, prioritization, and independent troubleshooting skills

Key Purpose of Role:
The Technical Implementation Manager (TIM) serves as an initial escalation point for technical issues that are complex in nature which are escalated from the customer / program team. The position provides in-depth technical support by working across departments within L+G and Customer teams. The TIM is responsible for driving a resolution to technical / functional issues. If technical issues cannot be resolved, the TIM is expected to gather enough detailed technical information before escalating to the L2 teams.
The position requires strong technical, customer management skills and knowledge of business processes & functions to implement and support the Program teams with the deployment of company solutions for customers.
Job Description:
Key responsibilities include the following:
• Own the end-to-end deployment or implementation of Landis + Gyr's AMI solution(s).
• Support System Acceptance Testing (SAT) for new customer deployments / upgrades
• Lead creation of standard operating procedures and solutions for technical elements of the system that are effective and repeatable
• Adhere to formal change control processes
• Knowledge of two-way AMI technology, from head-end software to the field endpoints.
• Ensure Service Now tickets are fully documented and resolved or escalated to appropriate support tier, within SLA guidelines
• Proactively follow through on all technical issues to ensure items are addressed accurately and promptly
• Support software installation activities for new releases and provide post implementation support.
• Act as the liaison to the other business units within Landis+Gyr, as needed, to resolve and follow through on issues / defects.
Mandatory skills:
• Strong technical & analytical skills - ability to do complete methodical root cause analysis and troubleshooting technical issues
• Highly adaptable in a dynamic work environment
• Accustomed to working in an environment driven by high standards for service and system delivery
• Excellent team player - self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to plan and maintain schedules
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for solving problems and obtaining solutions

• Demonstrate customer focus with proven ability to resolve customer issues appropriately. Strong customer communication and service skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to travel to customer sites – ~ 50% Mandatory technical Skills/requirements:
• Microsoft Windows, Linux/Unix, Database (Oracle/MS SQL/PostgreSQL)
• Kubernetes (GKE/RKE), DevOps tools, Helm Chart, CI/CD, Docker, Terraform, Shell Scripting (Powershell, Bash etc.), Jenkins
• Strong experience working on public clouds such as GCP, Azure or AWS
• Hardware Security Modules (HSM) and Load Balancers is a plus
• Wireless Communication/RF/Broadband Communication technologies, IP suite
• Knowledge and experience in .NET Framework/IIS
Qualification & Soft skills:
• B.E./B/Tech. (Electronics and Communications/Computer Science/IT) from a four-year college or university degree from a technical institution. Six plus years successful performance in a customer service or technical support related position in communication technology related field including independent travel and customer contact. Knowledge of software operating systems, networking, and applications. Experience with utility operations, AMI operations is a plus.

• Experience in working with solutions involving both software and hardware
• Excellent communication skills - ability to interact with end-users a must.
