Position Location: Arden Hills, MN
The Member Relations Communications Intern will partner with teams across Land O'Lakes to support communications and engagement initiatives that serve our member-owners. The intern's primary project will focus on:
Researching industry best practices for member- and customer-facing sites
Evaluating the user experience of the Land O’Lakes member-facing site
Identifying gaps and opportunities to improve content, design, navigation, and other features that enhance member value and engagement
Implementing approved content, design, and navigation updates to improve the member experience
Throughout the summer, the Member Relations Communications Intern will also support a variety of communications projects, gaining hands-on experience in content development and review, member email communications, and training promotion, while building an understanding of the cooperative business model.
This role is part of the Member Governance and Shared Services team, which works to empower the success of our member-owners.
Required
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
Sophomore standing or higher (Junior preferred)
Strong writing and editing skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred
GPA of 3.0 or above
Previous internship or corporate work experience
Knowledge of AP Style
Experience with digital marketing tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Experience with content management systems (CMS) and web content writing
