Job Description:
The Social Media Senior Associate will be a key member of L3Harris’ External Communications team, developing social media content that grows followers, drives engagement, and increases brand awareness. This position is part of a shared services group and is a social media point of contact for their assigned business segment. The successful candidate will partner with business segment strategic communicators, corporate communications, creative services, and functional team members to implement innovative campaigns that directly support business objectives.
Responsibilities include organic social media campaign development, post scheduling, social listening, and analytics/reporting. The Social Media Senior Associate will ensure social media content adheres to company strategy and branding requirements, is executed on time, and is aligned to communication policies.The successful candidate will have practical knowledge of social media channels, trends, best practices, algorithms, and performance metrics, as well as broad knowledge of integrated communications campaign planning and project management. The candidate should be creative and a strong writer; they will be expected to produce weekly content, long-term campaigns and be able to pitch new ideas and tactics.
Essential Functions:
- Create, plan, execute and analyze organic social media campaigns that support segment-level business priorities and enterprise-wide brand initiatives.
- Write post copy, partnering with segment leads, functional team members and creatives to develop impactful and engaging content.
- Track and report on channel-specific goals, identifying growth areas and opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct social media listening/monitoring, report on brand sentiment and conversations, and identify opportunities for engagement and/or business risks.
- Ability to travel up to 10% as required.
Qualifications:
- To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient in Sprinklr or other social media content/reporting management tool.
- Proficient in AP Style.
- Experience with new/emerging social media platforms and tactics.
- Highly organized with a proven ability to successfully plan, execute and report on social media campaigns.
- Experience working on a large cross-functional team and collaborating with creatives (ex: graphic designers or multimedia specialists) to deliver innovative campaign visuals.
- Ability to learn and execute technical tasks and adapt to new digital tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced communications environment.
- Experience in aerospace and defense.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is [$59,000.00 MIN - $110,000.00 MAX]. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is [$51,000.00 MIN - $95,000.00 MAX].. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
