Group/Division

The Semiconductor Products and Customers (Semi PC) business unit designs, builds and sells KLA’s product portfolio to help chip manufacturers meet high-quality standards for technologies like AI, data centers, automotive and electronic devices. Our inspection, metrology, and analytics systems detect and monitor defects across logic and memory chips, specialty semiconductors, wafers, reticles, advanced packaging, process equipment and materials. We also develop technologies for specialty processes, IC substrates, and PCB manufacturing, including etch and deposition, component inspection, and imaging and analytics. The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) division delivers industry-leading metrology solutions essential to advanced semiconductor manufacturing. Its portfolio includes systems for measuring film thickness, critical dimensions, composition, and resistivity—key to developing and scaling next-gen IC processes. FaST partners closely with customers from early R&D through high-volume production, ensuring performance and process alignment.

Position Summary

The Senior Field Marketing Manager is responsible for driving customer penetration, product adoption, and market share growth across strategic accounts, regions, and technology segments. The role serves as the primary link between customers and the division, translating customer requirements, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities into actionable strategies that accelerate business growth.

This individual partners closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Applications Engineering, Service, and Business Unit teams to develop and execute customer engagement strategies, remove barriers to adoption, and ensure successful commercialization of new and existing products. The role combines deep technical credibility, business acumen, and customer-facing leadership to influence both customer decisions and internal investment priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Strategy & Account Ownership

  • Develop and execute customer penetration and adoption strategies for assigned strategic accounts or regions.
  • Identify growth opportunities and drive plans to increase market share, revenue, and product utilization.
  • Build comprehensive account strategies aligned with customer technology roadmaps and business priorities.
  • Serve as the primary marketing owner for assigned customers and market segments.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Develop strong relationships with technical, operational, and business stakeholders within customer organizations.
  • Lead customer engagements including technical reviews, executive reviews, roadmap discussions, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Understand customer challenges, technology inflections, and investment priorities.
  • Influence customer decisions through value-based discussions and differentiated solution positioning.

Product Adoption & Commercialization

  • Drive successful adoption of new products, technologies, and workflows.
  • Coordinate customer evaluations, pilot programs, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Track adoption milestones and proactively address barriers that may delay customer deployment.
  • Work with field and factory teams to ensure successful execution of strategic customer programs.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and communicate customer feedback, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and customer needs.
  • Provide recommendations to Product Marketing and Engineering teams regarding roadmap priorities and product enhancements.
  • Monitor competitor activities and develop strategies to strengthen competitive positioning.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic customer initiatives.
  • Coordinate activities between Sales, Applications Engineering, Product Marketing, Service, Manufacturing, and Engineering organizations.
  • Drive alignment on customer priorities and business objectives.
  • Escalate and resolve issues that impact customer satisfaction, product adoption, or revenue growth.

Business Planning & Execution

  • Support revenue forecasting and opportunity planning for assigned customers and segments.
  • Develop business cases to support customer investments and adoption programs.
  • Track progress against penetration, adoption, and market share objectives.
  • Drive closure of high-priority commercial and technical opportunities.

Industry & Technical Leadership

  • Maintain deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing trends, process challenges, and emerging technologies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned technology areas and customer segments.
  • Represent the division at customer events, industry conferences, and internal strategy reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with metrology, inspection, process control, or yield management solutions.
  • Knowledge of Logic/Foundry, DRAM, NAND, Advanced Packaging, or specialty semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience managing strategic customer engagements and product adoption programs.
  • Proven ability to balance technical depth with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 8-15 years of semiconductor industry experience.
  • Experience in Field Marketing, Applications Engineering, Product Marketing, Process Engineering, Technical Sales, or related customer-facing roles.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and process-control technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence customer decisions and lead complex cross-functional initiatives.

Total Rewards

Base Pay Range: $163,000.00 - $239,067.00 Annually
Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
