Job Purpose

The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for managing creative assignments that help Jackson to deliver on business goals and audience needs. The Project Manager will work with other Marketing and key stakeholder teams to ensure the timely creation, review, and approval of a multitude of deliverables across numerous product lines and communication channels.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to manage the tactical execution process, from creation to implementation, of marketing projects.
  • Drives creative work, creating project plans and ensuring projects are executed on time and on budget with appropriate compliance.
  • Helps to manage and prioritize projects and resources within the larger Project Management pipeline based on business needs.
  • Acts as a point of contact for internal creative resources and external agencies, clearly and consistently communicating the needs of the organization.
  • Manages the development, maintenance, and distribution of complex status reports to manage expectations and potential risks across the organization. Identifies and escalates issues to leadership as appropriate.
  • Gains in-depth knowledge of the Jackson workflow process, helping the Director, Marketing Program Management refine processes and systems to better meet high-volume, high-quality creative needs.

  • Strong understanding of key tenets of project management: project definition, scope management, risk management, team management, and delivery.
  • Manage details of a project in the context of a larger campaign or initiative.
  • Strong ability to deliver results in a fast-paced yet process-oriented environment, following through on responsibilities with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong problem solving skills while responding to situations with creativity and agility to get work accomplished.
  • Constructively participates in the marketing communications creative process and providing feedback on creative work.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; active listener; ability to communicate with internal and external partners.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail with strong tactical execution.
  • Strong adaptability skills while being professional and managing multiple projects/tasks with tight timelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • 5+ years of Marketing and Communications program management experience in a marketing-driven organization required.

  • Experience in the management of creative work required.

  • Account and/or marketing project management experience required.

  • Financial services industry experience preferred.
