Who this fits

This part-time role is suited to an experienced marketer who can set direction while handling campaign delivery in a small team. The standard schedule is thirty hours weekly, with consideration for twenty-two and a half hours; you need to work in the Richmond office at least one day a week and attend as required.

Contract: Permanent, part-time (0.8FTE) 30 hours per week (also open to considering applicants interested in 0.6 FTE, 22.5 hours per week)

Salary: £39,000 (Pro rata £31,200)

We're looking for an experienced marketing professional who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. to lead and deliver our marketing and student recruitment strategy.


This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of marketing and recruitment activity at ION, with a clear focus on increasing awareness of the Institute, generating a strong pipeline of prospective students and converting enquiries into applications and enrolments.


You will develop and implement an integrated, data-led strategy across digital and offline channels, including SEO, PPC, paid advertising, social media, content marketing, email marketing, CRM, website optimisation, partnerships and events.



This is a hands-on role as well as a strategic one. You'll be expected to identify opportunities for growth, develop campaigns, manage budgets and measure return on investment, while also getting involved in content creation, campaign delivery, CRM management, data analysis and optimisation.



Working within a small team, you'll need to be comfortable moving between strategic thinking and practical delivery, taking ownership of your work and making a measurable contribution to ION's student recruitment objectives.


You will come with:

  • An ability to work at pace and demonstrate initiative
  • An understanding of/interest in nutritional therapy or nutrition and wellbeing
  • A sense of fun with a strong professional ethic and the ability to get things done
  • Experience managing budgets and reporting against KPIs and targets
  • A strong understanding of marketing and recruitment metrics, conversion, acquisition costs, attribution and ROI.
  • Experience using website and marketing analytics to inform decision-making
  • Strong CRM experience, including segmentation, prospect journeys, automation and lead nurturing
  • Copywriting skills and ability to repurpose content for SEO, websites and social media
  • Experience developing and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Understanding of how to optimise the UX/UI of websites
  • Understanding of marketing best practice
  • An attention to detail and ability to proof content on-screen
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent individual and group communication skills
  • A good eye for design
  • Knowledge of ASA guidelines
  • Knowledge of media law
  • The ability to work onsite at our office in Richmond as and when required
