Ibotta is seeking an experienced Senior Content Designer to join our UX team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As part of our team, you'll shape the language, structure, and flow of the experiences that help millions of shoppers save money and help our brand clients and publishers grow their businesses. Reporting to the Director of UX Research, you will partner closely with product management, product design, UX research, and engineering to craft content that makes complex products feel simple, trustworthy, and easy to use. This role is crucial in ensuring our products speak with a clear, consistent voice, regardless of where a user accesses our tools.
This is a senior-level role with the opportunity to raise the bar for content design at Ibotta. You’ll contribute to building scalable systems and best practices while also rolling up your sleeves on high-visibility product work. The ideal candidate is a strong systems thinker who partners easily across disciplines and can flex between hands-on craft and strategic influence.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:
Own end-to-end content design for complex, ambiguous product areas that span both B2B and consumer domains.
Establish and evolve content standards, voice and tone guidelines, and reusable patterns that scale across squads and product surfaces.
Use behavioral data and user research to pressure test content decisions, iterating based on evidence and expertise.
Identify content gaps and opportunities proactively.
Raise the quality bar for content by reviewing and providing feedback on the work of UX, product management, and engineering team members.
Work with UX leadership to evangelize the value and process of content design.

What we are looking for:
4 to 6 years of experience in content design, UX writing, content strategy, or a related field. Ideal candidates will have experience within a consumer-facing tech product or marketplace/platform environment.
Ideal candidates will have experience with conversational design.
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Human-Centered Design, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end content design work that demonstrates your writing process, problem-solving skills, examples of polished UI copy, and a measurable impact on the user experience.
Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to present and defend content decisions to cross-functional and senior stakeholders.
Experience building or scaling content systems, style guides, or governance frameworks across multiple teams or products.
Familiarity with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma), collaboration/documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), and AI tools (e.g. Claude Code, OpenAI Codex).
A deep curiosity for understanding users and empathizing with their problems, paired with the judgment to know when data should override a strong opinion.

This position is located in Denver, CO, and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, a benefits package (including medical, dental, and vision), a Lifestyle Spending Account, an Employee Stock Purchase Program, and 401k match. Denver office perks include paid parking, snacks, and occasional meals.
Base compensation range: $131,000 - $153,000. Equity is included in the overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
