Data Science, Data Engineering, ML Engineering, and Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) are all necessary practices that work together to enable companies to answer their most urgent business questions. Based on your skillsets and business needs, the role will be in either Data Science, Data Engineering, Machine Learning (ML) Engineering, or Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) within the Marketing team.

As an intern, you will be part of our Marketing organization, spearheading Dell Technologies’ Digital Transformation by driving innovation in the way we deliver advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technology that can help us better optimize our customer experience and business outcomes.

This internship will merge data science, data engineering, and cutting-edge software engineering practices to build and deploy machine learning models at scale.

Projects will contribute to delivering predictions and recommendations for marketing and sales stakeholders at scale.

Essential Requirements:

  • For Data Science roles: Experience in Python and SQL, specifically for data wrangling, exploratory data analysis, and statistical modelling. Solid problem-solving skills and essential knowledge of probability and statistics. Foundational knowledge of statistical modelling techniques and methods (Decision Tree/Regression based methods etc.).
  • For Data Engineering roles: Experience with SQL, Python, relational databases, and JSON. Basic knowledge in data modelling. Exposure to distributed-processing methods. Exposure to Apache Spark is a plus.
  • For ML Engineering roles: Experience in Python, Java and/or C++. Basic knowledge of APIs, distributed processing methods, and introductory machine-learning concepts.
  • For MLOps roles: Experience with general-purpose programming languages (such as Python, C or Java), container engines (Docker or Podman), and Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.). Exposure to any DevOps/MLOps tools, such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or MLflow, is a plus.
  • University projects/research, Kaggle competitions, Online courses/MOOCs, related internships is a plus.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Working towards an M.S. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or related quantitative or computational fields
  • Graduation Date: December 2027 or Spring 2028

Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this position is $31.88-$50.00
